Is this your opinion or rumour? Your post doesn't make any sense.

Ridiculous comment. So Brody had nothing to do with this? He is the victim, and he had no input into how this was going to work? Your default position is always to blame. Has it ever occurred to you that things just don't turn out the way you envisaged. And that no one is to blame. I credit the club for taking the risk and having a go. If we hadn't, you would have been the first to pay out on the club.

All this is true, but I believe their administration sets them apart.

A different Cat: How Chris Scott differs from other AFL coaches This is an interesting article written by the well respected Jake Niall from the Age. In his article, Jake delves into what differentiates the long-serving Scott from coaches at rival clubs. He mentions Melbourne a few times on how certain incidents would have been handled differently. An example is when he quotes a past player saying that the Petracca saga would never have happened at Geelong. I come away thinking that Goody does possess a number of these traits and believe he is the right person that can follow in Scott's footsteps. The big concern, sadly, is the stark difference in the administrations. I can copy and paste the article but am not sure whether I am allowed to.

What controversies should Goodwin take responsibility for?
-
What a ridiculous comment.

What is his problem with Pert and Richardson? Is it football-related, or that they didn't send him flowers after the accident?

But you said in another post that if we get all our players back and firing, we have a good premiership chance. Now you want to sack the coach. Bizarre.

Former MFC President Joe Gutnick calls to make club-shaking moves

Its quite sad for supporters who are not capable of enjoying the journey we have been on since 2018. -

History Lesson: I think I would trust Ridley's word over Gutnick's anyday. And by the way, I was an anti-merger. -

History Lesson - Gutnick was willing to switch allegiance and back the merger if the players agreed, according to a later statement made by Ridley. -

[censored], It is clear that our previous presidents prioritise their egos over the club's best interests. Who leaked this chat to the HS? Green or Gutnick? I hope it was not Green. If it was, I would not want him anywhere near the board, let alone the presidency. -
It is my understanding that there is no legal exposure if you slander a business / organisation, but if you slander an individual, then they can sue. Stand to be corrected.

Totally agree. The Instagram Followers data is quite damning. As a member of the baby boomer generation, I have not paid much attention to what the club shares on social media. We must come across as the old, stuffy establishment, steeped in tradition but lacking in the ability to welcome the new generation. The present and future must not centre around our demographic.

Oh dear.

What a bizarre comment. Not elite? He was ranked 2nd in Player Rating in 2021 and won the coaches vote. He was ranked #1 in Contested Possessions. Not bad for an "Outside player". Viney was ranked #36.

I agree. Just playing with you. Inside bulls have lost their lustre mainly because the game today is about creating space to run and, as you say, move the ball. Port Adelaide possess the modern game elite midfielders who can extract the ball out of centre and into space. That said, they were terrible the other night. Hawthorn are doing it well, and teams are struggling to lock down their skilled run and carry. Sydney are the same.
-
So in your alternative universe, it's more important that no one wins the ball at centre bounces but waits for the turnover. Imagine both teams adopting this strategy. Everyone will be standing around and looking at each other.

I know you were. WCW just said she didn't like him. Nothing more, nothing less. You are upset because "she behaved in a way that didn't suit you." You are arguing with yourself. Getting back to my question that you conveniently haven't answered. If a poster said they didn't like him, how is that assassinating his character?
-
Wow. All she said was that she didn't like him. Is that assassinating his character? Aren't you a sensitive soul.

Kate oversaw our most successful onfield era since 1964. She is arguably our best president since Bert Chadwick.

Or BigFooty

I think the difference here is that the rumour is not potentially libellous.

This is tiresome. The approach that these guys take is to say, "He wants to leave, but that does not imply he will go." He and the club are then labelled as liars. Morris used the same playbook with Trac, and Kane Cornes used it against Kossie last year. They always hedge their bets.
