  1. D- Collingwood A+
  2. Pretty happy overall, was hoping we could trade up for Duursma but wasn't to be. Glad that we've retained our future 1st as well. I reckon both kids will play some games next year.
  3. Loving your work dazzle
  4. Anyone have access to the sun? They have a live late-mail article and headline suggests a deal for Curtin could involve 3-clubs... Edit: could be junk q&a style blog with suggestions from fans
  5. No proofreading on that tweet. First I've seen Adelaide linked to Caddy.
  6. Said it before but kid has some aggressive and loves a tackle. He may start outside as he builds his body but don't think he'll be pigeon-holed there his career.
  7. Quite possible, this draft is as unpredictable as ever its seems and wouldn't surprise that clubs are doing their best to manipulate an outcome with disinformation.
  8. Sounds like he's not really in our primary plans. If that's the case I hope the roos or hawks take him early and one of Watson/Sanders/duursma (unlikely) slide through.
  9. See adonski's post a few above yours.
  10. https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/draft/afl-draft-2023-koltyn-tholstrup-feature-interview-350-sunglasses-clubs-interested-western-australia-prospect-latest-news/news-story/c4eecd9b9487096258a27b382c3a31db
  11. Don't think I've ever seen such negative comments made public about a potential recruit in the lead up to the draft.
  12. MELBOURNE Picks: 6, 11, 42 Latest intel: The Demons were hoping to turn big moves into an even bigger move, landing two top-11 picks via trade period swaps, and offering their selections to West Coast in a move for Pick 1. They’re at the back of the queue for that trade though and it appears unlikely to occur. If there is a trade involving the Dees, it could be the other way, if the Eagles want to move for a sliding Daniel Curtin. If the Demons stick where they are, they should still nab two very good players, with Caleb Windsor surging up the board and into their thinking at No.6 along with Nate Caddy. With their second pick they’ve been closely linked to Koltyn Tholstrup, after visiting the forward at his Esperance home, while Curtin, Caddy, Darcy Wilson and Ollie Murphy would be considered if they fall this far. Father-son Kynan Brown could be a late selection. Best-case scenarios: One of Zane Duursma, Nick Watson or Ryley Sanders slides to their first pick, or they find a way to move up from Pick 11 and get two top-10 selections. Or if they hold Pick 11, one of Connor O’Sullivan, Nate Caddy, James Leake or, dare we say it, Daniel Curtin slips through. Worst-case scenario: Hard to see anything here for the Dees, considering they’ll likely take just two or three players and would be very happy to take Koltyn Tholstrup with their second pick should they hold their current selections
  13. Also suggested we would try the same with pick 11 but didn't highlight which pick or player we would be targeting there.
  14. ?? Has this been reported somewhere or do you have some mail?
  15. Apparently Adelaide are making a play for GWSs pick 7 to grab Curtin. Presumably with pick 10 and 14 or perhaps 10 and F1.
  16. More thinking Roos take Mckercher and Duursma at 2 and 3, then offer their future 1st for Curtin to either us, GWS etc...
  17. Kangaroos coach Alastair Clarkson has flown over to Perth to meet with the West Australian product and is believed to be “infatuated” with Curtin. “Alastair Clarkson, he has become a little infatuated with Dan Curtin I believe,” footy journalist Ryan Daniels said on Triple M. “There’s a lot of interest from North Melbourne. I think that’s where this is heading. Dan Curtin’s going to end up at North Melbourne.” More speculation though not sure I put much stock into it. If West Coast are offering a f1st for Curtin, could the roos maybe do the same?
  18. My read is that it's just to have more draft capital next year for a pick we likely won't use this year. Adelaide, Brisbane and Carlton all have f/s or academy prospects that they'll want to stockpile picks for. Gives us more room to trade up next year. Probably other clubs too.
  19. "If they don't, they could just use those picks or perhaps a third selection later, however pick 42 is set to be sent to St Kilda in a likely deal for a future third-round selection."
  20. Really unpredictable draft it seems. Our first pick has been linked to Windsor, Watson, Curtin and Sanders over the past 2-3 days alone.
  21. 1. WC - Reid 2. GC - Walter (bid matched) 3. Nth - McKercher 4. Nth - Curtin (first surprise) dees trade pick 7 and f1st with hawks for pick 5 5. Dees - Duursma 6. Wb - Sanders 7. Hawks - Watson 8. GC - Read (bid matched) 9. GWS - Windsor Adelaide trade 12 and 22 for Geelongs pick 10 and change 10. Ade - O'Sullivan 11. Ess - Caddy 12. Gee - Leake 13. Mel - Tholstrup

  23. It's been mentioned in a couple articles that Sydney and St Kilda have interest in Tholstrup who have picks 12 and 13. Moving from 14 to 11 makes sense in this setting if everything is taken on face value. Personally I think Windsor and Tholstrup will be our targets if we can't end up shifting up the board any higher, and I'm perfectly happy with that. We may still be making a play for Duursma/Watson with upgrading pick 6 and if we upgrade 11 then perhaps Caddy/Curtin or another will be in play there. Then there's a chance for another hail mary attempt for Reid and see if West Coast bites this time around.
