  1. Port don't have their natural first round pick. Belongs to freo after they traded it for two 2nd round picks last year.
  2. Turn pick 3 into Baker and Allan perhaps, not a bad deal for them.
  3. Steven King? Lucky not to break his leg. - some geelong crack-head
  4. He's a gun and I would be very happy to land him. Instantly fills the Brayshaw void on-field and adds much needed dynamic kicking skills to our team. I get not wanting to trade pick 5 for him, and I don't either. But unlike most I would be reasonably comfortable in splitting the pick to land him. Turning 5 into say 9 and 10 from the tigers (post freo trade) might be a possibility. Trade 10 and 2nd round pick might get it done (I know they want two but that's their starting public negotiating point). Turning say 5 pick and ANB comp (25) or future 2nd into Houston and pick 9. That's a great outcome. Whether actually achievable or not I'm not sure. With such an open and even draft and no clear stand-outs, there's even a good chance we land our top 5 target at pick 9 anyway.
  5. That's all good and well if both clubs are interested. Fair chance he's management had reached out to both clubs and Port said thanks but no thanks. No real point in playing charades if everyone already knows there's only one club with interest. Certainly other states would love their leaving players to nominate a return to Victoria rather than 1 specific club out of 9.
  6. This kids a gun. Athletic and aggressive and can play any position on the ground. Think he goes first round.
  7. Perhaps we can split pick 5 for two picks in the top 15 if there are any takers. Depends how JT and co rate the draft but given its supposed evenness we might end up with two players we really like if the top 5 are lacking star power as has been alluded to
  8. I'm sort of torn on how to approach this draft period. I think we take pick 5 and will most likely take a midfielder which will give us 3 first round mids in two years. Given its an even draft with a good smattering of talls as well, there's a good chance we'll pick up a kid with pick 25 (ANB) that we'll really like. I'm wondering if it's worth while to retain our first pick for next year, not just for the possibility of finishing in the bottom half, but to attract and be able to purchase a mid that's in the 22 - 25 age bracket to compliment our older and younger players. Think Butters or Callaghan. A consequence of always trading out our future picks is not being able to get those sort of deals done. I'm also wary of picking up too many 18yr old mids in one year from an age profile perspective and not being able to give them opportunity. I hope we have an eye on a couple of talls this year as well considering we are losing a lot of depth there.
  9. Wonder if we will up our pursuit of Cumming with Houston committing to Port? Port may not commit as much money and years with Houston staying and also trying to acquire Perryman. We obviously wouldn't mind some HB re-inforcements and a better chance of best 22 gaurentee.
  10. I'm happy for Max to stay captain for as long as he wants it. Not only does he speak incredibly well and lead by performance, he consistently gets to every Casey VFL game to support the players in the twos. Was also down in Geelong tonight supporting the Woman's team. If only we had a few more as committed to every aspect of our club as him.
  11. Wouldn't mind if we had a look at Seamus Mitchell from the Hawks who finds himself out of the team currently. Small defender with exceptional pace and impressed me on the limited times I've seen him play. Had some injury concerns early in his career but seems over it now and has played 24 games over the past two seasons. 22yrs old so a good age to come in and impact with some development behind him. Contracted until next year however.
  12. And Benny Brown coaching on the boundary
  13. Guessing this ship has well and truly sailed despite Petracca re-affirming his commitment. Probably a good thing now with pick 5 in our hands instead of what we were hoping to be a pick in the teens.
  14. Is there a top 10 or more available? Curious to see where the other dees landed.
  15. No, nominations just makes him eligible to be voted on. A panel of judges then do a 5,4,3,2,1 allocation each to decide the winner. You can see all the votes here... FULL VOTES: Cat's cheeky remark after Rising Star win - https://www.afl.com.au/news/1207177
  16. Thanks for the insights mate. Any good news on the horizon?
  17. Shifter Sheehan gave our boy his one and only vote in the rising star which was good enough for equal 10th. Looking forward to his development over the next few years.
  18. Install a rheem

  20. Where's Baker going? Can't see freo getting all of Bolton, Kozzie and Baker.
