  1. Will he last to 13? They might try and use future picks for Baker instead of the Barrass pick.
  2. Plus you can earn up to 5% more BTC on eligible trades. You heard it here second.
  3. I don't, it's an educated guess on a hypothetical scenario. But consider the perceived trade value here at peak Oliver and current Oliver. 2022 Oliver: Age 25, 3x AA (selected 2022), 4xBnF (won 2nd yr in a row), 2nd x AFLCA (won 2nd yr in a row). What would clubs have to pay for him here? Then consider 2024 Oliver: multiple off field scandals, major drop off in form for well over a year, 1mil + 6yr risk a club would be taking on. Given there are articles suggesting clubs think they can get him on the cheap (take with a grain of salt), then I don't think its unreasonable to suggest that selling Oliver now would be right at he's lowest value. Guess he can always go further off the rails, have further injury interruptions and form issues next year and therefore would be lower value next year. As for Petracca, I only really included him as the only clubs that could satisfy our demands would be Richmond, West Coast or North and he's not going to consider any of them. If he goes to Carlton then we are going to get unders for him. Get Oliver back into AA form and 12 months for clubs to get the assets required for Petracca and we'll get a much better trade outcome next year. That is if they want out and we decide to move them on. Personally, I hope we keep them both for the entirety of their contract with both player returning to their best footy. All my subjective opinion of course.
  4. Mfc want to add midfielders, I can't see a scenario that would convince us to trade away our prime ball winner. If anything, we keep Petracca and Oliver for next year and hope they hit their best form. If (and its a big if here) they're still unhappy and we're not making finals, then I'd be open to maximising our draft capital and bringing in multiple first rounders prior to tassie coming in. This year would be selling low for both.
  5. Rookie me have started putting up compilation videos of some draftees.
  6. Lol, could you imagine if it was just an elaborate troll by clarry.
  7. So who's next for the player "allegedly" wanting out of Melbourne? Back to Petracca?
  8. As much as I dont want to buy into trading Oliver I wouldn't be surprised if stuff like this happens.
  9. Geelong will probably offer a 2nd rounder in exchange for paying his whole salary. Best maybe a future 1st.
  10. Cant see how Geelong make this happen. Guess we'll see how much we really want Oliver.
  11. Would be surprised if this doesn't get done. GWS just posturing for a better pick probably.
  12. Has been some minor speculation a few years ago that Butters was considering us if Hinkley got the sack.
  13. 9 and 16 supposedly going to Richmond for Bolton. Would leave 10 and future 1st for them to potentially offer us. Would rather keep kozzie.
  14. Also mentioned we're looking at Owies. Not 100% sure how I feel about it. Other interesting tid bit was the suggesting that battle could end up earning band two compensation which is at the end of the first round.
  15. Thanks, first bit of potential draft gossip. Lalor would be a good get, hopefully his hammies won't give him ongoing concerns.
  16. Really hope we can land him somehow. Obviously the ideal scenario would have us retain pick 5 but I wouldn't mind us splitting that pick to get the trade capital and still retain a mid first round selection. Best scenario: Future 1st and Brisbane's pick 18 (by trading 25, 45, 50) Alternative: split 5 for Richmond's 9, 13 (via baker) and future 2nd. Trade 13 and pick 18 (via Brisbane trade above). Get Houston, 9 and Richmonds future 2nd. Retain future 1st.
  17. Tigers could very well have picks 1, 6, 9, 13, 16, 21, 22. They also have a plethora of later picks to target future picks and Brisbane's first rounder. We should have a good relationship with yze and perhaps there will be deals to be done for us there.
  18. Cal and Riley are decent. They have their finger on the pulse of the trade scene and don't make up wild trade rumours. They also have good insight on the draft scene.
  19. Pick 37 it is. A thrilling death ride.
  20. Ryder Corrigan, Charlie McKinnon and Xavier Taylor stiff to miss out. Sharp the early favourite for pick 1 while talls Ludowyke, Duff-Tytler and Emmet show great promise.
  21. It was calf adjacent.
  22. Interesting, I would've thought we forfeited any rights to him after passing last year. Sounds like we can list him as a Cat-B rookie if everyone passes? Assume that means we can't match anyone that selects him in the national draft.
