  1. This, hold it for night two and see what offers we get. Hopefully we'll nab a future 1st. The Petracca and Oliver trades should set us up with a decent draft hand for this draft.
  2. Isn't that what they're doing though no? Selling pick 6 to interested parties. Bulldogs, West Coast and North all looking to move up apparently.
  3. Any reason why we're supposedly getting pick 7 instead of 6? Why is a club with later junk picks able to push ahead of us in the draft when we're giving them a superstar?
  4. Sounds like they're ready to negotiate if they're putting a price on it.
  5. Petracca is worth at least two first rounders and even stated by media as such. I'd consider giving them our 2027 first rounder in the compromised tassie draft. 3 first rounders done.
  6. I'm a fan, projecting to be a late first rounder at this stage. Has speed and agility and most importantly can kick.
  7. Crows bowed out of the Petracca race as they didn't have anything to offer besides mid-late ranged first round picks. I'm cautiously optimistic we'll do better than Gold Coasts slightly better mid-late first round draft picks. Either Humphrey or Walter or no deal.
  8. Very much an uncontested player which may limit his potential to go through the midfield. Still a role for an excellent kick off the half backline or wing, perhaps not to dissimilar to Roberts from the bombers.
  9. He's allegedly meeting the club this weekend so don't think its zero chance. I suspect unlikely but given the Suns are committed to a contracted Petracca they'll have to come up with an amazing deal. If Humphrey announces he want to come back to Vic then it could be on.
  10. Jones would be a fantastic get. I'd also be keen on some of their younger players on Oliver, Hannaford and potentially Leake and Gruzewski.
  11. There's fringe players and then there's fringe players. I'd be going for the fringe players instead of the fringe players, make sense?
  12. Sounds like GWS is main club linked to him at this stage. Wonder what a deal would look like given we are allegedly prepared to pay a decent chunk of his wage. GWS have picks 12, 32 and 34. Could we get 12 with intention to package that to the Suns for Humphries? Or perhaps there's a decent fringe player we could acquire, of which there are plenty.
  13. 1. Riley Bonner - 149 Votes 2. Bailey Laurie - 143 Votes 3. Mitch Hardie - 134 Votes 4. Jack Billings - 130 Votes 5. Riley Baldi - 120 Votes 6. Tom Campbell - 117 Votes 7. Kynan Brown - 115 Votes =8. Tom Fullarton - 100 Votes =8. Deakyn Smith - 100 Votes 10. Taj Woewodin - 96 Votes
  14. Charlie Spargo's move from Melbourne to North Melbourne as an unrestricted free agent is also set to go through on Friday, with the Demons likely to receive a band three (second round) or band four (end of second round) pick for losing him. Free agency frenzy begins, Pies unlikely to chase Dee, talks start for mid - https://www.afl.com.au/news/1435783
  15. Humphrey would be the best possible outcome for a Petracca move.
  16. 700k per year until 2030 for oliver 800k per year until 2028 for brayshaw 1.5mil per year is a big chunk gone for the next 3 years. Would hope we aren't contributing to Petraccas wage in anyway if he goes.
  17. Sounds more like we went cold than anything.
  18. Laurie to start in the centre
  19. Soligo would be ideal but can't see the Crows parting with him. Fairly certain he's contracted long term as well.
  20. Probably Sparrow unless a club makes a play for Oliver
  21. Can someone with photoshop (or ms paint) skills please put together the grim reaper meme with Bailey Laurie knocking on consecutive doors which has the blood trails of Spargo and Petracca on it. Can't be left out of the team if there's no players left to play 😅
  22. There are some individual threads for some of our NGA prospects but thought perhaps we could use a centralised thread to track information on future academy players. For now, it appears academy's will stay although access and cost may change in the future. Marcus Prasad 167cm small forward playing for the stingrays. Has represented Vic Country at u16 levels and u18 this year as a bottom ager. Draft year 2026 Corey Ah-Mu Younger brother of Tairon, Corey is 196cm at 16yrs of age and has played a few games for Dandenong as a bottom ager as well as representing Vic Country in u16s. While his brother is not eligible this year for the dees there is suggestion that Corey will become available to us as the AFL expand the eligibility criteria (TBC). Draft year 2027. 3 & 4. James Goerlitz and Zye Bergles-Brown. Small bit of research led to these 2 names as part of the dees academy. Both named in the 2025 Dandenong stingrays u16 team which would probably see them draft eligible in 2027 or 2028. I believe James Goerlitz played representarive footy for Vic Country. I otherwise know nothing else of these players. 23. Where's 37 coming from? Spargo compo. I know the points calculator isn't a great way of working out deals but our outs and ins would equate McVee to be worth pick 36. Think we can do better.
  24. Doesn't surprise me. What did surprise me is that we continued to select him. Did the kid and the team no favours. I'm looking forward to seeing him in 2026. With the right attitude I reckon he'll lock himself into the 22 on merit and become a weapon across the half-forward line with midfield bursts. From the outside looking in, I sense he has the ability to become a brayshaw-like figure for team culture and camaraderie.
