I was on the Wellingham bandwagon for a while until my best mate showed me that his kicking efficiency was pretty ordinary. He'd fit in too well in that case.

I think these two would literally change the direction of our side. Speed is my only concern. If we can address that somehow we might be going places but I remember Neeld saying he wanted us to be the hardest team in the AFL to play - only Toumpas and these two come across as the types of players that would fit that mould. I worry with the Whitfields and the jack martins that suyre they draw a lot of the footy and look talented but we've been there before with players like Cale and a few others I wont mention who looked great and super skilled at that level but were unable to handle the hardness of AFL footy. Im dreading tomorrow morning. I really am. Im sorry I love the Demons but in the last few years they have made a lot of mistakes so I just really hope and pray that this wont be another one. Viney is a sponsor's dream - if we go up the ladder kids could well be saying his name instead of Buddy's or Cyrils... That's what we need to be a powerhouse club - not just on field success but attracting a whole swarm of new kids to supporting the club through the characters and players at the club. Viney reminds me a little in his attitude to Dustin Martin. When i read his predraft article and his bravado I assumed he would crash and burn but he did the opposite. Some people have a lot of belief and its almost like they create their own destiny. probably getting way ahead of myself with Viney but he comes across as the kind of bloke that will not accept second best or failure... As for Gold Coast - they said to the media they rate Viney between 2-7. However I have heard from facebook sources that they will not nominate.

Dawes was good in 2010 and Tippett is over-rated for mine - he gets easy delivery from their mids and this season has had less defensive pressure because of taylor walker (who I rate more highly than tippett).

Listening to Hutchy, Dr Turf and some other bloke this morning they said the following: They will walk from melbourne to Sydney if the Dees dont take Viney. Everyone in the AFL knows they will take him and Hutchie suggested that Melbourne had over played their hand with this one and were starting to look stupid in similar terms. This is a very important point that some naysayers are missing. the rest of the top rounder potentials might look good at the under 18 level kjust like Cale and a few others did but couldnt make the next step. We know Viney CAN make the next step as he scored 29 disposals twice at VFL level. Neeld said that he thinks the club knows where they rate Viney and all the other clubs do as well - then why the snakes and mirrors? if they stuff this up and it backfires this will be regarded as the worst decision since Norm Smith's sacking or Woewodin's trading LOL

Denham seems hell bent on reporting negatively on the dees. He hates us and his views on the club were negative years ago almost to an emotional degree. A guy who claims to know him on Facebook suggested he was entertaining the idea
