  1. I have No. 2 (Jonesy) on my 2011 guernsey and No. 9 (Neita) on my one before that. Still thinking about getting 13 on my old LG long sleeved guernsey, just for the memory.
  2. Sounds like a good haul! Maybe you can make their lives better (or worse?) by signing them all up?
  3. Great job! Very entertaining... But does anyone know where Jones is? Or can I just not see him? I love that we bring out a video every year. Makes my Christmas!
  4. 1. Jim Stynes 2. Neita 3. The Ox 4. Nathan Jones 5. Ooze 6. Luke Williams (14yo teenage girl obsession..) 7. Matthew Whelan 8. Simon Godfrey 9. Brent Moloney 10. Broady Special mentions to the Wiz and Woey. It's really hard a. to only have 10 b. to put the 10 in order.
  5. Here's hoping Watts just has a general love for the game, and his supporting past doesn't tell his playing career.
  6. Shucks Rollo! It was an easy job compared to everyone else. Lots of fun too! Thanks for the opportunity, and I'll do my best to get back from Darwin for the next one. GO DEES
  7. Had lots of fun today. The boys put on a good show! Good to see the Dees win and hear the song with gusto at then end
  8. First time watergirl here. How much water is too much water? I was thinking about finding a cheap slab of water bottles...
  9. Moving to Darwin in November, I was checking out the NT News site, and was interested to find out that Fevola is playing in the NTFL 2011/2012 Season. Geez, I wish he'd stop stalking me. I was going to go for Waratah, too! http://www.ntnews.com.au/article/2011/10/14/266445_ntsport.html
  10. If someone from another team's forum was reading this thread, they'd sure be getting a laugh over how cliche it all is... imagine that.. Melbourne supporters talking about red wine! In other news, I think I'll get some to share around at Christmas, and also keep for myself. Love a good drop, and Heathcote produces some damn nice reds.
  11. We must breed them well.. Either that or we pinch them after they've already matured, and then don't make the most of them.
  12. Loving the idea of Foxtel, but also want to get involved with the local footy.. just in case I'm in Darwin for longer than expected (who knows, we might actually like it up there!). Still thinking about the Buffs, but like the idea of where the Tahs play. Maybe I'll see what happens in the first round...
  13. Haha unfortunately I'm pretty petty and therefore a bit reluctant to follow the Bombers.. or the Magpies.. We did recruit Matty Whelan from the Buffaloes, and they also won a Premiership in 1964. Luckily it wasn't their last
  14. I'm being moved to Darwin in November for work, and couldn't help but notice that the NTFL is actually played during the wet season up there and hence starts next weekend! So I'm looking for a team to follow. Any ideas? At the moment I'm thinking the Eagles or the Buffaloes (there are no Demons)? Also, could anyone give me an idea on the league and it's past winners, some good players, etc? Thanks
  15. The pre-match entertainment used be a full on production, with lots of colour and local talent (remember the 2000 "Do The Cazaly" - I think that was what it was called - dance?). Now it seems they just throw too much money to any washed up singer and have a few cars that go around the ground. Borrrrring..
  16. I liked it, and I do every year. I guess the appeal is just watching the players have a bit of fun. But then again, I can see why a female would look at it more differently than a male.. My boyfriend didn't enjoy it at all. I wonder how old that pole dancer was? Hmmmm. As for a comment on the boys' performance, I'm glad they had dancing lessons! And it took a lot of nerve for JT to start it all off. But probably not as much nerve as it took for Wattsy to put on that costume!
  17. I just finished watching all the individual interviews on DeeTV and was very impressed at how the players were keen not to talk about themselves and their achievements, but how and (most importantly) where they are going as a whole team. Good to see! Also funny to see Chippa with his arm around Jones for their whole 7-minute interview.. holding each other up, perhaps? GO DEES
  18. Well done Beamer - cracker year and looking forward to 2012! Putting us at table number 64 just another way for the AFL to humiliate us? However, I think Demetriou did a pretty good job of humiliating himself last night...
  19. A survey like this (if done correctly) would also show that there is more "loyalty" towards the teams that are performing well at the time. If they had of done the survey on how many of the games "supporters" have gone to in the last 10 years, not just 12 months, I believe the results would be quite different. On another note, what is Joffa doing with all those kids? :/
  20. Going, going, gone. Because the AFL gets what the AFL wants.
  21. I'm visiting Sydney for the weekend and was devastated to find out that Channel 7 are showing Dudley Do-Right instead of the game. Is it really that hard to plug into the live broadcast that Melbourne is showing? I would understand if it was for a rugby game but a Sunday movie? Bloody hell.
  22. We won two games in Adelaide during the tragic NAB round robin-style draw... Does that break the hoodoo or does it have to be Home and Away games?
  23. My last game for a while too. Getting moved for work in November. If I could pack the 'G I would...
  24. 17,105 Because we're due for a win, and it's the last 'G game for the season.
