Of the top 10 in season 2011 we only get the Saints twice and they may fall away anyway . The opening 5 games are all winnable with the probable exception of West Coast . Tough run between R6 and R11 though Essendon and Sydney are beatable - this group of games are gonna be a challenge for Neeld and co. - we need to somehow hold our ground during this time - though it would have been far worse if this stretch of games were in the 2nd half of the year . The long run home after the bye is a not tough - have we ever had an easier 2nd half of the season ? The 2nd half of the season only has 2 games against last years top 10 teams - Saints and North - both winnable . Freo away in the last round may be an irrelevant game . Esp if we can't move anywhere within the 8 ! Overall - very , very happy - we've had far worse draws . I like that we will be tested early against the Eagles - The Bulldogs and Saints in rounds 4 and 5 for the same reason - both at the G - Ideal .

I guess my point was that we may get over this whole saga quicker than we think - if we're in the finals next year I won't be thinking about $cully much at all .

Well put - my only difference is that instead of pure hatred I just desperately want $cully to fail . I do however remember feeling a bit the same when Gerard Healy left but .... .............we played finals soon after and then I didn't care - hoping history repeats !

Greg Chappell is the best batsman I've seen though Punter is a wonderful player Interesting criteria that was used including (I think) entertainment value ( or such like ) Would have loved to have seen Keith Miller play as he "had it all" by all accounts ! This is assuming that your quote was "gospel" - Plenty would have disagreed with you at the time ...........Did you know about the Phil Scully appointment back on March 3 ? When I say the Club was Hoodwinked I'm also talking about the 37,000 plus members and tens of thousands of other supporters which make up the Club . Are you absolutely sure that the Club "played along with the charade" ? A lot of us feel hoodwinked .

Spot on - GWS deliberately stooged our Club so getting their 1st round pick seems fair compensation - we're not gonna let em get away with it are we ? Just reverse it for a moment - don't you reckon we'd feel a tinsy bit guilty if we'd done this to another Club I hear all the arguments re Clark and compo picks etc but this new revelation changes the landscape .. And we don't even have to prove inducement - The AFL have already admitted as much by including Phil Scully's salary in the cap . I hope the story doesn't die that's why the I reckon the Club should at least make a statement .

The Legal Profession could get involved in this whole fiasco and they would have a field day . Phil Scully's salary being counted in the salary cap is the laughable bit . And boy , didn't the AFL act quick on that one . What , do they think it makes it "all better now" ? Thanks for that old dee Melbourne could be on foxtel a fair bit , though I reckon 7 will have predominantly Victorian team match ups - for ratings purposes . It's probably going to come down to how many times we're drawn against interstate teams . I was a bit surprised to hear Eddie's name connected to Foxtel - If he calls games it probably won't involve Collingwood as they're nearly always on free to air . Cheers

Herald Sun are reporting that Eddie will be the new face of Foxtel - Is this new ? I hadn't heard it before . It's mentioned in the "Mick Malthouse to join Channel 7" story . Sort of makes it even more of a competition between the 2 AFL providers doesn't it ?

SNF this week features Dallas @ Philadelphia - big divisional rivalry game with both teams seeming to have similar 4th quarter problems . A lot of the tv games this year have been mismatch's which is a shame cos there's nothing like an NFL game going down to the wire . MNF this week is goodin as well with San Diego at KC - Can't wait for both The Foxtel games don't do much for me this week though the "Tim Tebow" factor vs Detroit might be interesting . Couple of interesting games on Saturday evening - and both on at the fan friendly time of 10pm . Chelsea v Arsenal and Everton v Manchester United - vital games for all concerned and Everton might fancy themselves ! Are the AFL trying to give the Demons a leg up ? Surely not ! The Lions 1st up at the G as well ! All we need now is once only games against the Cats , Pies , Hawks , Blues , Swans , Freo and the Eagles ( The last 3 at the G ) Don't want a soft draw but you don't look a gift horse in the mouth either . That soft sort of draw comes at a price though - zero excuses .

Would have loved to have seen these 3 play - though I've read a bit about them Fanning kicked 18 in his last game yeah ? Not a bad way to leave the game !
