L.A swamp St Louis again . They win 5 - 2 after scoring 4 goals in the 1st period . They're now 2 nil up in that series . They're in hot form . The Capitals are doing well , they beat the NY Rangers 3 - 2 to level the series at 1 all . Ovechkin scored the long range winner . Just the 1 game tomorrow Devils/Flyers . On fox3 at 9.30am tomorrow . The Flyers lead the series 1 - 0 .

How bout those Clippers ? 27 pts down deep in the 3rd quarter and they get up and win !

Had a look at Nashville/Phoenix today on fox . 5 -3 win to the Coyotes . Excellent game and they now lead that series 2- 0 . In the other game the Flyers beat the Devils 4-3 to go 1 up in that series . You've got the luxury 'GTG' of having all these games on when you can watch them hey ? Over here the evening games start from about 9am but "work" gets in the way . Damn it !

Not sure we're easily pleased dl , and I don't believe that's the reason we haven't won a flag for yonks . I've met many Demon fans who are hard markers . There's a whole combination of reasons in my opinion . Doggies haven't won a flag for 57 years , the Saints 45 , Tigers 31 . The Pies have only won 2 in 53 years and even Carlton have only won 1 in the last 24 years . Surely all those teams lack of success can't be because all their supporters are easily pleased . As for the opening post from 'pitchfork' . All supporter groups have fans such as the one you encountered . 'Spose we're not known for our "boisterous" behavoir . I went to see our Demons in many games at Victoria Park - a frightening experience at the best of times . The fans there gave a whole new meaning to "turning on their players and their own" . Cheers

Yeah , I agree . Good post 'jimcor' . Geelong are a tallish side so we need a few big blokes . Probably at least 1 in reserve if somebody is being towelled up . Clark and Frawley (if fit) to come in . Possibly Sellar or Dunn out but there may be another player from Saturday night who "doesn't come up" . That's been the pattern this year . More and more teams are seemingly "resting" the odd player so we'd be no different . Cheers

Yep , spot on monoccular . Nothing like being at the games hey . Most of us have now got these huge , oversized widescreen tele's and we still have no idea what's going on down the ground ! And often the commentators don't inform us of that either . There too busy carrying on about a "wonderful" handpass . Cheers

All the commentators talk way too much anyway . That would be ok if it were radio . I used to like that red button you could press on foxtel . Mute the commentators and just hear the crowd noise . We don't need commentators when we're at the games . I don't know why stations insist on the "play by play" commentary . Surely they realise we can see what's going on . I believe we need less "commentary" and more in depth and behind the scenes stuff . For instance we often have no idea who is in the forward line . A widescreen view would be better as well . The coverage of Soccer is generally done a lot better . Not that I'm a big fan of that sport . BT at least adds a bit of colour and humour .

Terrible news re Derrick Rose . It's taken a lot of gloss out of these playoffs . Let's hope he makes a full recovery and gets back to his best . Basketball is a bit different with this type of injury . Fingers crossed . Watched a bit of the Mavs/Thunder game today . Mavs played well but just got pipped at the post . Miami won easily over the Knicks , Bulls beat the Sixers despite losing Rose and the Magic defeated the Pacers 81 - 77 . That NBA promo in China was certainly different ! I quite liked it .

L.A. defeated St Louis 3 - 1 . Looks like the jinx is on . Tomorrows games are Devils/Flyers (5am AEST) followed by Predators/Coyotes (on fox3 at 10am AEST) .

Still maintain Jack would be better off having a role in the backline . And his kicking skills are good so he could be used to set up our rebound out of the backline . Jack was used in the backline last year and on occasions he looked ok . Putting him back there might have the added effect of Jack learning more about the game and also having to be accountable for his opponent . Having him on the wing isn't working , though he did play a bit forward last night .

6 - Jones 5 - McDonald (He has a huge upside) 4 - Magner (An absolute goer) 3 - Rivers 2 - McKenzie 1 - Jamar Morton had a good game , Bartram and Bate battled hard all night , Grimes got a lot of touches and Moloney showed us a bit of last years form . Our senior players were much better , though they need to do this every week . If we had a bit more class in the side we would have won the game . Some terrific positive signs .

A good game by Cale tonight . Kicked with real penetration at times . 22 possessions with 9 of them contested was a good return . Very encouraged by some of his 2nd and 3rd efforts as well .

For what it's worth my tips for the 1st round of playoffs are ...................... Spurs , Oklahoma , Lakers , Clippers , Bulls , Heat , Pacers and the Celtics . A couple of upsets there but I reckon it's in some ways , wide open . And I do like to go for the underdogs ! I wouldn't be surprised if 1 or 2 big guns go out in the 1st or 2nd round .

You may be underestimating your own supporters .

Yeah , that hockey rivalry amongst Canadians fascinates me . I'm a little saddened that there aren't any Canadian teams in the last 8 . Such a religion over there yeah ? Travelled through the "Rockies" with a bit of a crew in the early 90's . Wow , did we have a great time . Vancouver , Kamloops , Jasper , Edmonton , Banff , Calgary . God's own Country .
