  1. Mind blow'in isn't it @picket fence? A case study in paying the wrong players the wrong money. No wonder they are @#$%ed.
  2. What are your faves ATM @Winners at last?
  3. Socrates said "to be is to do" Aristotle said "to do is to be" Shakespeare said "to be or not to be" and Sinatra said "do be do be do"
  4. Given their arithmetic is pretty dodgy, I'm backing they'll have 19 on the field at some point.
  5. Come on @layzie. If it was the last ice cream in the milk bar, you'd buy it for double its face value, grab a tram down Royal Parade, walk into Prince Park and tell 'em it's the last ice cream in the universe. You'd name your price and get a nine year recurring contract payment.
  6. Tell Carlscum they can have Love Shack and both Smiths and we'll take Curnow.
  7. Should have been 19 @Katrina Dee Fan. But Razor Ray's great granddad paid a free against the great man for 666 breach.
  8. Backs May and Lever aren't a massive problem if we deliver like we did against Geelong. We'll get smashed if forced to bomb it in though. I wonder who will play on Steven May. Wouldn't mind putting Treacy on him. Rough him up a little Mids I look forward to seeing how we go against Melbourne’s midfield. Hunter's 90% game time is going to be a challenge to fill without costing something elsewhere. That's before Oliver potentially out. I'd like all the help we can get against Melbourne. Hunter plays 90% of the game on the field allowing their rotations elsewhere, it's a supreme effort and a real strength of the Melbourne side that such hard running roles (both wings) spend almost the whole game on the grass. To have to replace that player with another is not going to be as simple as the next one up, they will need to change their entire rotations plan. Highly disruptive to lose either Hunter or Langdon. Hunter has a real habit of playing his best games against us so I am taking it as a pretty significant out. They're very lucky Viney didn't also get a week. Aish to Trac? Looks like Oliver's out. Out of 46 players on the park is he the one you'd least want to be without? Back Ras to give Trac are hard time all game, would also be a good learning experience for the young bloke as Petraca is probably the best comparison to Ras as a player. In our dreams Ras turns out to be like Petracca. That is a very high bar. We don't need to bring in a kid to stop Trac. Give Ras a run with role on Petracca. Could move Aish to the sub role or put him back in defense. Jackson Key match ups are: Gawn and Grundy vs Darcy and Jackson, and May and Lever vs Treacy and Amiss. We give up 200 games vs Gawn and Grundy and over 300 games vs Lever and May. We will have to play out of our skins to win this one. In a perfect world Jackson will make the difference on the weekend. In a perfect world (for us) we win by 200+ so Jackson's got his work cut out kicking 34 goals this week to be the difference. Amiss needs those goals. Jackson can have the goal assists. Only way he'll get noticed by the rising star committee. Got a feeling Jackson is either BOG or has an absolute shocker tbh. If the crowd treats him like we treated Lobb, I'm not sure if he could handle it? Should be a great game. Would be absolutely epic if LJ tears them apart and Freo fans drown out the home fans like last year, legit sounded like a Freo home game. Whenever players that have left us first come up against us at home they have a mare. Kinda expect Jackson to be a bit down with so much interest in how he plays, and extra attention from his old team mates. Jackson is a premiership player at Melbourne and is a player their fans generally quite liked. Doubt it’s anywhere near the same level. Maybe, however Jackson when down in the forward line causes them real headaches as they have been playing Rivers in the midfield. Their third tall in defense is missing and I expect that they may bring in Tomlinson because of this. Darcy and Jackson will hold their own easily, Darcy has done it before. If Lycett can do the job he did then our rucks can do it. Grasping at straws award 8 wins from 17 games at MCG against the Demons with a % of 100.55. So we have decent record against them there. Admitting we beat up on them during the Ross Lyon era when they were beyond putrid. QD's personal favorite We have never lost to Naarm.
  9. Is this a QB type sellout or an Adelaide Gather Round sellout (you know - the one where half the stadium is empty)?
  10. I would say Christian is very predictable: Christian: what club do you play with? Player: Melbourne Football Club Mr. Christian. Christian: two weeks then!
  11. It's a good question @La Dee-vina Comedia. I suspect Francis addresses the here and now and lets the afterlife take care of itself. Just an additional thought.
  12. Get your info from 'Land @640MD. Too many snouts in the trough elsewhere drinking coolaid and slosh.
  13. There are three roads to ruin @Dee Zephyr; women, running a book on 'Land and lawyers. The most pleasant is with women, the quickest is running a book on 'Land, but the surest is with lawyers.
  14. 2/1 Maysie, Jake Melksham, Kate Roffey 11/5 Jack Viney, Daisy 9/4 Michael Hibberd 5/2 Max Gawn, Jacob Van Rooyen 4/1 James Harmes, Clayton Oliver 11/2 Lachie Hunter, Adam Tomlinson 6/1 Ed Langdon, Tom Sparrow 13/2 Angus Brayshaw, Charlie Spargo 7/1 Jake Lever, Harrison Petty, 8/1 Tom McDonald, Kysaiah Pickett 9/1, Alex Neal-Bullen, @joeboy 10/1, Christian Petracca, Joel Smith 25/1 Luke Dunstan, Bayley Fritsch 33/1 Jake Bowey, Trent Rivers 40/1 Ben Brown, Brodie Grundy 50/1 James Jordon 66/1 Judd McVee, 80/1, Christian Salem, @WalkingCivilWar 100/1 Josh Schache, Kade Chandler, Matthew Jefferson 1000/1 Blake Howes, Bailey Laurie, Andy Moniz-Wakefield 10000/1 Sam Weideman, Pedo, The Bont
  15. Completely taken out of context. Selective editing of Dima's observation changes the meaning.
  16. I was having a good day until this.
  17. Hey Andy ( @Demonland). By the power invested in me by absolutely no one, I suggest @binman be sanctioned with a one week suspension for such thoughtful restraint on Demonland.
  18. Why wasn't Viney sent to Butters? Bizarre! Can you enlighten me please?
  19. Panic about the 80 percent of 'Land content that is off the wall @The heart beats true.
  20. Which part is not right @Roost it far?
  21. King is very late with this analysis. Watch any game from the stands and keep one eye on Max. He's crashed a dozen times a game off the ball. Been happening for years. Great insight Kingy (NOT). The reason his teammates do not run to him could include: Max has directed them not to get involved with the crashing - save your energy for an attack on the ball The crashing of Max happens 60 metres off the ball - running to protect him stuffs up the structures Means there's a potential mismatch on the ground that can be exploited by our guys High risk of fines, suspections and the wrath of Christian We get sucked into playing the game on the oppos terms. So thanks for absolutely nothing Kingy.
  22. Imagine Big Carl in the current era. Wouldn't get on the ground.
  23. Stafford: coached the Premiership winning forward line in 2021, and in 2023 is coaching the highest scoring team in the comp to the end of round 10. Melbourne's averaging 107 points per game, up from 90 in 2021, and has increased its scoring efficiency by an unprecedented 20% I would say the problems with the Deez ATM lie elsewhere.
