The definition of laziness is a)We lost this at selection b) AFL is corrupt and cost us the game c) Goodwin cost us the game a) Selection was okay, started fast and got them on the back foot, they settled and we changed it up went small and mobile in F50 and had our chances b) Jumper punch turnover 10m out, Gawn touched Oliver’s shot on goal, which was going through c) See a) and also Goodwin didn’t miss some easy set shots Oliver poor, Bowey really didn’t go hard enough at the footy which ended in Motlops goal. And as for “we are the laughingstock of the AFL” ffs are you under 12, we’ve been there and I remember it

GAMEDAY: SF vs Carlton
There’s a time to coach with kid gloves and there’s a time to rip into players. Pickett poor effort on a few occasions and leaves the ground to bump when there was no need. Time to tear strips off him, let the team down and will miss 1 game minimum. Toughness is putting your head over the footy, not what you did there

Goody - Genius or insane?
Here we go someone always has to bring logic to the Goody argument. Got it wrong with our conditioning and player rest last year Learned from it, it would appear based on the way we were coming towards the end of the home and away season but the Petty and Melksham injuries have hurt big time

PREGAME: SF vs Carlton
But that doesn’t fit the “woe is us”, the “AFL cleared Maynard, because they want Collingwood to win the flag”, agendas. This comes from people who I can’t believe actually hold down jobs. The grand final will sell out no matter who gets through and the corporate packages are already paid for The PF’s are all set for very large hosting bias in crowd support with interstate teams up against it. Imagine the hype and narrative around a Collingwood vs Melbourne GF and a rematch in this year’s finals series. Chance for the Dees to avenge the QF loss What reception will the Dees players give Maynard Will Melbourne’s midfield regroup after lowering their colours when the game was on the line in week 1 of the finals Can Collingwood win the flag 2 traditional rivals The talk around Carlton vs Collingwood GF in the media is a romanticism from our youth when these two clubs played in many memorable matches, it is nothing more

Michael Hibberd Hanging Up the Boots
Cheers for your efforts Hibbo, great recruit who played the game in a way I loved No nonsense, team first and reliable never leaving anything out there. Lets hope there’s a few more AFL wins to go and all the best to you and your family in the next chapter

Stuff drafting a kid, poach a key forward.
I think his best position is as a forward, yes he played CHB at Colts and state level but IMO CHF is where he has the most scope. We need to understand how much the Melksham and Petty injuries have hurt us. Mcadam obviously being targeted for Melksham’s roll and Petty will be back. We’ve got some defenders coming through and I’d like to see us boost the midfield/rotation stocks in order for Trac to play a lot more time forward

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
I think He’ll be drafted, fantastic athlete late to footy and only started playing KPD this season when WA needed 1. Wasn’t in their initial squad but tried him there and he showed a bit. I know he returned to colts and was played as a KPD at request of AFL scouts wanting to see him and Claremont being a club who put development as a priority, but with finals now on he will spend the rest of the season in the ruck. Game sense and defensive craft need work but one I think clubs will take a punt on

POSTGAME: QF vs Collingwood
We don’t or we can’t for the next 3 weeks we showed against St Kilda and Brisbane we need to rejig the forward line. Crows did it in 97 & 98 when Modra went down and lost form after returning from ACL. Someone with forward craft will do, change up the midfield rotation and leave Petracca predominantly forward. We need to try something different next Friday with our forward mix. If JVR is suspended Tmac stays to play back up ruck. Play a more mobile fwd line even if that means playing Tomo and fcs small fwds get front and centre. Chandler Tomo/Smith Kossie Trac Tmac Fritta
