  1. Couldn't remember a Corgi Lincoln at all, then realised it's a toy you had !
  2. 2Q clearances so far GWS 7 to nil
  3. Spot on DL. except arctic white and hardtop [perfect for driveby ...]
  4. Nice to hear what everyone had for dinner. No Holdens over here in LA, but gotta stock '66 Continental, suicide doors, 462. ...why am I reading & writing this?
  5. Absolutely agree with your first line master. Hope you're right about the PP, but fear GWS may want all they can get, so don't want us getting a PP (and they're the last team the AFL would accuse of tanking).
  6. Though nervous without Frawley, I'll tip a narrow win for us: Our greater desperation to win knowing it will be difficult. Another week since the Darwin energy drainer. I'm not saying they'll tank, but we'll look worse (to fans and AFL) if we lose than they will, plus I suspect they're more cognisant of possible draft time ramifications than we are (their not wanting us to get a PP).
  7. 6. Sylvia 5. Frawley 4. N Jones 3. Dunn 2. Gawn 1. Fitzy
  8. Keep Fitzy. I'm more optimistic of his future ability exceeding expectation (I hope) than anyone else we have (this week). Last year a certain poster (not suggesting who, rpfc) canned my wanting Jamar traded as I thought Gawn & Martin would be better rucks this year. Jamar should be traded now (with Peder or Sellar if anyone wants them) pursuant to finding 2 gun mids. But the way Fitzy's developing he may be able to play any position on the field soon. Did anyone see Fitzy recently going for a mark at FF against 2 defenders; he just rucked it to Watts who nimbly crumbed & goaled. It was beautiful. (or was I dreaming?)
  9. I keep remembering how Howes kicking improved amazingly over the last preseason and hope someone kidnaps Nicholson and makes sure he does the same before R1 2014. If he could really kick he'd be worth inclusion because he can run anyone into the ground tagging. Won't hold my breath though
  10. Kento, you just said that celebrities who do charity must be good people! This isn't true. If you'd lived and worked a lot with celebrities and their agents etc., you'd know there are often many public relations reasons why they associate with charities.
  11. Sure Crompton, I know much guff gets into newspapers, but think this was discussed in all media, no denial from Harry, so seemed true. If you read the article, it's not the kind of thing that could be made up. I'm happy to hear anything extra you may know about the episode though? Cheers http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/collingwood-footballer-harry-obrien-wants-to-meet-president-obama/story-e6frf7jo-1225863362749
  12. Harry O often wants preferential treatment for himself. (which reduces good culture & team spirit) EG. Do you remember when Obama was coming out & the news headline and article all about Harry thinking that of all AFL people to meet the president of the US, it should be himself, Harry?
  13. Glad to hear he kicked better tonight DemonOx. I didn't see, just heard the game. Nicho would really step up if he worked hours daily on his kicking. Remember how lousy Howes kicking was before this year? Howes kicking is fine now. If Nicho could do that...
  14. Absolutely. He just needs to work on his kicking about 3 hours every day, for the next 365 days (as well as everything else he does)
  15. Watts 4th ...we're there!!!
  16. 26 pts. Hold the champagne corks
  17. A thrashing is more accurately measured by how many times our score they kicked, rather than the actual point spread. 186 Geelong kicked 4.95 times our score. 148, Essendon kicked 5.11 times our score. 1/2 time today Hawthorn is 6.3 times our score
  18. Oh Please Dr Mubutu! Don't quote players as a sign of support for any coach. Players never criticise their coach because he has the power to ruin their careers. [Macca posted great explanations for this 6 weeks ago] Neelds appalling people skills has contributed greatly to the lack of spirit/effort, and his poor game plan nous kills us too. These are the 2 main things a coach needs! Plenty else is wrong, but he's a useless coach who should be gone now whether we have a permanent replacement or not.
  19. Perhaps Viney again until hopefully Roos is appointed. Surely they'd play better with no coach as long as Neeld is gone, plus the exodus may subside knowing he's gone. Hesitant to want Rodney Eade, because he seems deficient in game plan nous, because it took him years to realise the dogs needed a power forward or two. Had they got Barry Hall and one other like him 3 or 4 years before they did, the dogs may have won a premiership.
  20. I'm buying it!! I reckon Spencer will Dominate the ruck, Jones, Sylvia etc will really lift with the 1st ball use, Howe & Gawn will be unstoppable up forward and we'll win!! Woohoo! Hang on, someone's at the front door, ....it's some guys in white coats
  21. Ha, Robbo posted it while I was typing.
  22. Here it is! http://www.afl.com.au/video/smart-replay/?round=CD_R201301404&matchId=CD_M20130140407 Click on the second goal in the last quarter (big Maxy's goal). It's just after that. Many other fine clearances from him. A great game Col!!!
