Depending on the cost I wouldn't mind Connor Blakely on the opposite wing to Langdon. Was/is a rebounding defender at Freo but out of the side at the moment because of defensive flaws, despite that he's a good kick and has pace, both two things we could well served with.

A lot of similarities to the St Kilda game in that loss. The more dominate side in the first half without putting them away before being completely over run in the second half. Cunningham and Newman have been passengers all year and their performances are magnified in our losses. Newman had a great collect and run into the forward 50 while McEvoy provided an over the top option, she instead took the selfish option and missed. Zanker is our best forward and unfortunately playing ruck with Pearce injured, I'm surprised they didn't swap her with Cunningham. Disappointed by the lack of changes in the last quarter like maybe getting Daisy into the middle in a crucial period, swapping Zanker/Cunningham around, just something to get a spark. Looks like we'll miss finals again, surely Stinear doesn't survive if that eventuates.

I suspect the wording around Preuss playing in the VFL was a kind way of saying he'll be starting the season there. Doesn't make sense to be moved to the VFL side to be able to play more minutes in the ruck when/if he played round 1 75% of the game he'd be in the forward line.

I think if they had to exist they've got it right, there's one sponsor which is quite small on the left side. I actually just noticed this today while watching some streams. But it could worse, the A-League and NRL jerseys are littered in sponsorship so I'm glad the AFL ones aren't as bad.

That's the one thing I've noticed about American sports, despite being so heavily commercial they haven't tarnished the uniforms with sponsorship aside from maybe the apparel maker which is pretty much all Nike. It looks cheap with the sponsorship on back but it's the world we live in.

You cant carry ruckman on a list these day purely for insurance. With the mid year rookie draft next year we have exactly the right setup, in the event we did lose Gawn and Preuss then we take the best available experienced ruckman from SANFL, VFL, WAFL etc in the mid year draft.

I reckon he or someone similar who's been delisted will be picked up to see how they do for a year. I wouldn't be surprised if we go after Weller, averages almost 4 tackles a game this year which is what Goody wants. If he runs both ways and does the team things then he'll be in the mix.
