  1. Gaff the player would be excellent but the added knowledge he'd bring from the Eagles would be invaluable.
  2. Channel 7 Perth just reported that Paul Connors is here to discuss “expressions of interest” with Gaff. Reeled off all the clubs we already know are keen including MFC.
  3. It rolls of the tongue beautifully.
  4. Okay, let's get this straight. He is 25 years old, turning 26 next month. And if you rate him on par with ANB or Harmes then I'd challenge your comment of "watching a little bit of the Eagles." If ANB or Harmes turn out to be as good as Gaff I'd be very, very surprised.
  5. That’s been the common understanding particularly on here over the years...
  6. The RFA variable is a significant one this time around.
  7. @jane02 anything?
  8. Goodness me, this bloke is a jet and will contribute to our side amazingly. Today he was absolutely pivotal in so much of the Eagles play. We desperately need a player of Gaff’s qualities and skills. Go and get Gaff.
  9. They cut out the bit where he asked him if he’d hit the showers yet.
  10. The way Goodwin was seated and didn’t look him in the eye looked as though he was about to put the hard word on him rather than tell him he’s gonna debut. Weird.
  11. They usually do a separate article so I agree it seems a bit surprising.
  12. The site article says he will debut! Couldn’t be a media stuff up. Then again.
  13. Good on ya Tom. Muck rake your supported club on national tv. Theres 17 others you can have a crack at too ya know?
  14. Rumour he’s no longer interested in footy and will focus on beef cattle production in Japan.
  15. Very good point.
  16. It’s not completely puzzling given the depth in the midfield brigade right now. However, not even getting listed as an emergency?

Obvious? What? Pedersen is in his twilight years. Of course the coaching staff are going to train and trial Weideman as a second ruck. I can tell you now he won’t be a dominant and permanent forward. Can he be an improvement on King and Flipper with some decent forward craft as well as being tall enough to give a ruck chop-out? Absolutely. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s moved on at the end of this year.

    Tim Smith.
  19. That’s handy for them. I know that my Port supporting mates get right behind the Magpies when the AFL side is traveling poorly.

Yeah mate, I had to pick a WAFL side when I moved here and through contacts I ended up following the ducks but I wouldn't say I'm an avid follower. I've played against the 'newsreader' Rick Ardon on a few occasions in Masters footy over the years.. He's a dirty sniping mofo.

You watch a heap more WAFL footy than me PSD so I respect your opinion but I still think anyone who can kick more than seventy goals and take screamers at this level is worthy of good hard look. Re ch7, I think I caught a snippet of big nose pumping his tyres up a couple nights ago.

I only watched him once this year when they played Swan Districts and he had very little impact. Speak with any Eagles supporters over here and they’re wetting their pants over him. Personally, I think for a bloke who can take marks and kick goals against Peel who had 16 listed Dockers playing for them deserves the benefit of everyone’s doubt at this stage. I noticed the AFL article mentions we've shown interest so at the very least I’ll be taking a keen interest on where he falls. I still think the Eagles will select him at 26 which might be good for him because I reckon the ‘go home factor’ will be strong with this fella if he has to move East.
  23. McQueen replied to Goffer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Well if that’s the case he’ll earn plenty of free kicks from oppo blocking his attempts. I think we’re crying out for a small forward who can drag in a screamer. But regardless, he’s one of the reasons WCE have loaded up on mid range picks this year.
  24. Walker is really only damaging his own reputation by persisting with this line of trash talking his ex-teammates. To have gone thru the Phil Walsh tragedy showing some real leadership and camaraderie to this, being a bitter and vindictive Club captain surely can’t be enamouring himself to his other teammates. Seems like a bit of a boys club over at the Crows where it’s okay for Dangerfield and probably Sloane to leave next year, escaping any criticism.
