No quality crumbing smalls. While i recognise we might be wanting Moniz to do some sort of apprenticeship down back, there are times you have to recognise when to do that. With so many AFL listed players out, today is not the day imho. Should be playing a quasi HHF / crumbing role.

May went down in the first quarter of the Freo match and did not return. We also lost to Sydney without him. While probably not the sole reason for both losses, in the main i would argue it's no coincidence that the winning streak ended with Freo and then Sydney without May down back. Similar replacement needed pronto to cover for games like this week.

Our king pin is out though. Injury cloud over Claz. I'm thinking coin flip. May still doesn't get enough cudos from some in the media imv. You would think there's only one AA key defender at the top according to main stream, Tom Stewart, who is more of a plus one intercept player coming off his man a la Lever.

I believe it's something like 4 - 7 or roughly 37% of games Same or very similar when both Lever & May are out When he's in, no surprise it's a big turnaround but i can't recall the exact number that was put up. If my memory serves me correct it was somewhere between 70% - 80% but don't hold me to it. We need to start looking for a serious replacement pronto. I'd be taking a good look at Sam Collins from the Suns if we can prise him out (signed to 2025) but he's not a young fella either so still need a medium term replacement. Adams was recruited as such so fingers crossed there and hopefully he will come on in the next few seasons at Casey.

We will get monstered in the middle throughout the year at this rate as we have no credible ruck and the mid stocks are shot. Early days and i guess we need to be patient & have faith blah blah blah but this is starting to have "a year to forget" type feel about it. I just hope we can piece something together so any youngsters and out-of-form / coming back from injury senior MFC players have a decent chance to ply their trade, develop their skills & gain some confidence .
