  1. Does anyone know if you're allowed to bring dogs to Casey home games?
  2. 100%. It's better than playing on at break neck only to hand the ball straight back and see the oppo get some cheapies in junk time. We did this beautifully for much of the match against the Dogs and got the chockies. I was hoping we would bring this for stages in the 2nd but we preferred to pick and roll more often which i thought played into the Hawk's game a bit.
  3. 50 more disposals per goal than us today. Must be some sort of record. At one point they switched 4 consecutive times across HB. Disposals per Goal Hawks Demons 76.6 25.7 (last week 24.5)
  4. He had also removed the strapping by the time the siren blew
  5. You forgot the 'wee' part Rab
  6. Fritta guarding grass in front of Sicily therr...get up on him and pressure son!!
  7. Agree re Brown. Not reading it as well this week? Chandler's brought immense pressure around the arc though imv. For a small fella he does struggle to get away from his opponent on the receive at times and capatilise which is a tad worrying. Not easy at this level of course. Needs a bit more strength through legs & core maybe?
  8. That is part of the plan being put forward apparently
  9. My understanding is, we are just crossing some Ts for Govt funding / approval. All going well there should be an aannouncement by the end of this year. Assuming it gets the go ahead, we are on track to commence building of the facility at the Heath sometime in 2025.
  10. Ty to the three amigos also (Kev, WCW & Andy) 🤙🏻👏🏼 Might make my way down on Monday
  11. Crikey. Back to the drawing board then.
  12. I reckon WCW does too. So much so i reckon she probably used it and her & Smacca are now BFFL
  13. Damn! It does have a kind of ring to it. Actually i just realised it's spelt Smacka. Even easier! And you can show him this good lookin (somewhat famous) fella from back in the day. Very stylish! He can trial this as the latest rehab kit! P.S. I can still send Uber Eats down with a Bloody Mary. Actually i'll make it two, one for Smacka as well. Would that help!??
  14. Revel away Bin!
  15. Shmacca? WCW yell that out and see what ya get back 😅
  16. You can take it off now WCW ... then maybe head to a local Richmond gym or YMCA for a quick shower. If not i doubt you'll be getting close enough to any of the boys to hear their nicks.
  17. Initially i was ecstatic about last night's result. Having slept on it overnight i think it's best we maimtain our decorum and respect here folks and not get too carried away with the Filth's 0 - 3 opening...
  18. Henry looking the goods arghhh
  19. Yeh nah. There's an old saying.... don't flirt with 'WINNING' form. Absolutely zero case for Petty to be anywhere near the G this week, even as sub. Was a mile off the pace at the Casey praccy apparently. Just give him another half to three quarters to try & find some touch at Casey vs the Hawks plus bringing him up to some decent match fitness before throwing him in the deep end. This would also allow the sports science guys and doc to monitor how he pulls up each quarter with no pressure to continue on at the lower level if there's any minor issues. Cotton wool and scans/review again during the week. Hie's an important cog for us and we need him there at the pointy end. Would have made no change and brought Joey on a little earlier than we did against the Dogs to see where he's at and try and instil some confidence before another stint at Casey depending on how he went. Having said that we should still be in a strong position to post a solid W here if we can hold our form against the dogs.
  20. Yes that's another blow. Joey (Woey) is a handy in if he is in and certainly needs the run as well.
  21. All of them accept Spargo (i think the first one is Picket's nick lol) and Woey's which is my suggestion (Woey Jnr. ... Joey) Some are of course just minor spelling tweak suggestions!
  22. That's an average turnover number so he also had a miserly 3 against the Swans Mr Bin. Agree re meters gained which is why i don't use this in my player ratings. If i had access to "Meters Gained Assisted" though i would be throwing this into the mix. Plenty of other Champion stats i would use in preference to what i currently do if available as well but alas. FWIW Lever also rated high in my weekly player ratings, coming in 5th and posting a 37% improvement on his season 2023 average rating on Sunday. These composite ratings also include a weighted adjustment for turnovers on every player, which tends to boost the rating of those who are cleaner with their ball use (somewhat)... 23. Another solid episode thanks gents. George highlighted the structural aspect with T-Mac down back & BBB up forward which helped straighten and right the ship from the week before. T-Mac wld've also pleased the coach & Chaplin. Hitting a number of sharp short passes exiting 50 vs Tommo's longer attempts and dumps that may have resulted in a few more turnovers & immediate slingshot rebounds / repeat entries the week before? Also worth noting that, according to some scribes, the Swans tend to play a much higher press than the Doggies. Is this correct? If so, we may need to take this into account when comparing why we didn't do so well the week before. Not just rusty in implementing the new strat but could it partially be due to the Swans not allowing us to do so as a result of their higher press? A higher press results in a more crowded defensive 50 and our defenders having more difficulty finding free short targets due to the extra pressure coming from more numbers around this part of the ground and their ability to close down space quicker due to closer proximity. That in turn might (in theory) result in more turnovers closer to our goal and more scores / goals to the oppo from those turnovers sources yes? It's only a theory but i think we need to at least consider this against teams that are looking to bring a higher press (more effective disruption of our defensive exit strat) vs those that might not be (yet) such as the Doggies?
