  1. There are two up at our local Mt Waverley SC also. They blatantly sit in the middle of the square on an under cover seat and thumb their nose at the world and enter the shops without one as if nothing's changed. This went on all through 2020 also. I spoke to a police sarj about this and he said they don't have the resources or the wherewithal to bother with it.
  2. Yep as long as no one with covid gets on, copious amounts of beer (bare minimum Stone & Wood), top shelf whiskies, enough room for the G and 18 AFL teams. Pie/Essendrug and Hawk flogs get their own boat! Throw in a few spare WAGS plus a red room and Beelzebub's your uncle! Set Sail....destination Sth Pacific Islands then on to the Bahamas. Ahoy there mateys!
  3. The only way that's happening is the building of a new ship
  4. Not necessarily... ...One variant of concern, called B.1.617.2, was first identified in India and is spreading rapidly in the United Kingdom, raising worries that it could be unusually transmissible. Public Health England has determined that two doses of either the Pfizer–BioNTech or the Oxford–AstraZeneca vaccines are 88% and 60% effective, respectively, at preventing symptomatic disease caused by this variant... End quote. Then there's the issue or how long will each vaccine last? 6 months? A year? Maybe less? Jury is still out and in depth studies in to each vaccine will be needed before we even know this...and against each of the variants. No doubt vaccines are helpful but they're still not the holy grail to fully opening up and an end to this mess.
  5. If 100% of cases are linked or there are no mystery / non-linked cases at all I'm not quite sure why we have to continue in lockdown and why the QB (say at 50% capacity) has been cancelled. We should be coming out of SNAP lockdown by Weds. The risks are now miniscule surely. Unfortunately this Gov continues to over play the threat well past any minor risk has long since passed and those infected or potentially infecting other close contacts are being managed and the bulk of them isolating. Snap in....snap out once the risk has passed and it's under control?
  6. Only if we win the big one as a mad Monday option. No BS self flagellation before that.
  7. Provided 100% fit no question. If i was a doddo post a severe bender who fell off a 60 foot tree, then suffered a bad hangover after just hearing the Vic Gov announce the commencent of a 5th lockdown.... well...
  8. Well it's holy banana Sunday so here goes...
  9. Being a short ground .... the kicks from outside 50 will be going a little deeper into the 30 zone more often. Keep the same number of talls but go taller IMV. Bring in your tallest forward. Big M pushes forward at times also. Stretch the opponent. It's a no brainer for mine. BB in for Weid and instruct him to play deep. T-Mac plays the CHF role other than when BB is resting. Fritschlrieg mostly leads out to the flanks. Leaving BB and/or at times (when benched) Big M & T-Mac one out with Kozzie at the drop.
  10. You mean Essendrug didn't win!!??? According to the media scribes they were the next big thing!
  11. Gutsy win by the Filth. Elliot was superb. Sidebottom, Pendles and Noble also solid. I really don't get the eating their own on Buckley. Took them to within a kick of a Premiership. They were always going to come off the boil list wise after being thereabouts for so long.
  12. Lever by a fair margin. Followed by May & Salem. May was super solid last year i still think he's gone to another level again this season. Salem had a pretty ordinary year by his standards. Top three or four this season IMHO. Out of the Mids....Tracc. Forwards...T-Mac. Rookies ...Pickett, LJ & Rivers.
  13. Well this is a turn up! With a lovely new facility like this i would've thought most Junction cohorts would be pretty chuffed!
  14. Of course Buck. Slack checking on my part thanks. I wonder if the Mods can alter this for me by any chance?
  15. Make that 5 Dazzle. His last tackle inside fifty was against the Tigers in Rnd 6. Here is a ranking of average tackles inside fifty up to and including last night so far this season. It includes most players one would expect to be making a least a few occasional appearances (ruckman / wingman / mids / defenders pushing forward etc) inside fifty this season as part of their role. Obviously some more so than others and some alot more than others who are playing a genuine forward role. Note: probably should have excluded Salem who plays mostly behind the ball now so viewer discretion needed in select cases such as this... 16. Weighted Average Scores up to & including Rnd 12 , 2021 vs 2019 Tracc jumps one place into 2nd. Been slowly creeping up on Salem in the last few matches with Salem coming back from a brief lay off. Clarry holding steady and well clear. Harmes rising two places into the top 5 for the first time this season. What a bonus it is to have biscuit back to his VG 2019 form where he finished 2nd for the season in these tables. This makes us even more difficult to counter through the mid field now. Add to that the form of Jordan and the subtle rise of Sparrow to boot. Throw in a bit of Chunk on occasions if/when needed and we are starting to bat very deep in this area (touch wood and my block head). I would roughly place big Max in second here if we were to add something in for his 'effective' ruck work (ie., hit outs to advantage). My rough estimate on this, and it's purely a guess, would be around 0.500 to 0.700 taking his average score to somewhere around 4.200 to 4.400 Player 2021 Score 2021 Rank 2019 Score % Change vs 2019 2019 Rank Change in Rank vs 2019 C Oliver 5.556 1 4.643 19.66 1 0 C Petracca 4.004 2 2.616 53.06 10 8 C Salem 3.961 3 3.658 8.28 3 0 Steven May 3.922 4 2.446 60.34 14 10 J Harmes 3.817 5 3.850 -0.86 2 -3 Max Gawn # 3.704 6 3.256 13.76 4 -2 Jake Lever 3.598 7 2.313 55.56 17 10 Ed Langdon 3.545 8 Jack Viney 3.450 9 3.068 12.45 5 -4 James Jordan 3.066 10 A Brayshaw 3.035 11 2.894 4.87 6 -5 T McDonald # 2.740 12 2.150 27.44 19 7 M Hibberd 2.638 13 2.124 24.20 20 7 Jayden Hunt 2.634 14 1.958 34.53 22 8 K Pickett 2.546 15 Trent Rivers 2.523 16 M Brown* 2.475 17 A Tomlinson 2.475 17 L Jackson # 2.407 19 Oskar Baker* 2.325 20 1.714 35.65 29 9 Tom Sparrow 2.268 21 1.075 110.98 37 16 Alex N-Bullen 2.235 22 1.984 12.65 21 -1 Nathan Jones 2.214 23 2.711 -18.33 7 -16 Bayley Fritsch 2.186 24 2.641 -17.23 9 -15 Charlie Spargo 2.125 25 1.375 54.55 35 10 J Melksham 1.984 26 1.931 2.74 23 -3 H Petty 1.933 27 1.905 1.47 24 -3 Neville Jetta 1.865 28 2.264 -17.62 18 -10 Ben Brown # 1.575 29 S Weideman 1.119 30 1.818 -38.45 27 -3 K Chandler* 0.250 31 Average Team Score - Top 22 68.92 59.62 15.60 Hit outs to advantage not captured * Only played one match not an average score Stats courtesy of footywire.com

  19. Rnd 12, 2021 Giants Stadium - Demons vs Bulldogs Tracc blitzed the meters gained count with an impressive 724. Next best was the Lion's Lyons with 523. For the Demons Clarry was 2nd with 477 and May just behind with 445. Shout out to Jordan in 4th place (for the Demons) with 411. Solid game from the rookie! 20. Marty Hore should also be back next year (if he can get and stay fit). There's no need for a 5th option. Especially a mark/kick type KF who has never played defence before and pretty ordinary with ground ball stuff. Big no for mine.
  21. I'm guilty of mashing it a fair bit... probably broke it
