GAMEDAY: QF vs Sydney
Only while trying to belt out 30 minutes on the exercise bike. And i use the term "belting out" loosely. Thank goodness PBS was playing some out there jazz/funkadelic grooves. The beat, along with some mesmerising flute playing, was the only thing that saved me. I could barely make the one modest hill up to the tram. Now in to the Barassi pub for a few frothies to calm the nerves.

100% ... home town call?

NON-MFC: Finals 2022 Week 01
The only thing that was clear was Lynch's reaction. There's no way the vision 'clearly' showed it as going 'over the post'. What a terrible way to pretty much end a team's season. Surely the AFL could solve this with technology? Eg; a few infra red beams (four?) running in line with the post pointing to the sky. Any part of the ball breaks the beam (above the post) it counts as a behind.

NON-MFC: Finals 2022 Week 01
I don't know for sure that's why i said 'probably'. But the ump wouldn't have known for sure either. Was a split second situation. Benefit of the doubt surely goes to the initial beneficiary which was the original call and ball is returned back to the Tigers to take their free. In soccer the ref often waits a few seconds to see how the play unfolds first to see if there is actually any advantage to the free kick recipient (in a team sense) before allowing the game to continue on or calling it back. I don't see why we can't do the same rather than just saying "advantage" as soon as it looks like a player 'may have' decided to play on. Even if he does, whether it's an advantage or not should not rest with the player....the ultimate call should remain with the ump IMV.

NON-MFC: Finals 2022 Week 01
There was no advantage to take. He was immediately tackled.as soon as he took the ball...pretty much just after the ump had blown the whistle. In that cauldron Baker probably didnt evem hear the whistle and by the time he realised it was their free he was back peddling to say "i'll take the free" Also 3 times the Lions lifted the ball with an open hand to their fellow player in the first half and none were called for a throw or incorrect disposal. Thought the umpiring got better as the game went on but the first half was dodgy as, in particular a number of frees against Brisbane that appeared to be conveniently overlooked.

No advantage. Ump should've called that back. Then a free plus 50. Disgraceful umpiring

Couldn't miss this one! About time they told us what was happening! 😄- CASEY: QF vs Sydney
He has plenty of credits Moe. Very accurate at hitting targets i50 of course. Just needs to lift the other stuff a little for the finals and should be ok. Tackling, especially inside 50. Kick the odd goal. Goal assists. One percenters. Oh and a few contested ball gets would also be handy. The odd clearance. Toby unlucky to miss out in some ways and might not be with us next season by the sounds of it.- Training Ground?

Was very solid. Loved Disco's game as well.- CASEY: QF vs Sydney
Not a bad fill in for Viney if needed JJC? (Edit: Sparrow as well). No i'm not suggesting he's as capable but the bloke can play, is a brute in the contest and has some good footy smarts. Might be a little too muscle bound if that's possible? 2 to 3 kilos off over the off season so he can cover the ground a little better? - TRAINING: Thursday 1st September 2022
