  1. Lingers decision making & disposal has been woeful so far. Must have 3 turnovers already and one poor option handball that sold Max into trouble in the middle early on resulting in their 1st goal.
  2. When are our boys going to glance inside 50 first and at least try and kick to our forward's advantage on occasions? Instead we continue to rush our kick with the olde high looping tumble punt. Guthrie on Picket is a big win for the Cats atm. No one front and square at any marking contests so far. Our small and mediums just don't get to where they need to be often enough to impact and assist. I think Kozzy may have been at the drop of one spillage but over ran the ball. Kozzy & Chandler need a rocket message off the bench and need it now. Get to the front of the contests. And certainly no flying for pack marks!! Shouldve been a major focus in the build up but so far doesn't appear any message, if there was one, has sunk in.
  3. Just reinforces how deeply the AFL (and related Corporate Elites / benefactors) are in bed with the Cats. Some serious $$ and conflicts of interest happening with decision making. Even more so than the regular AFL tripe/bias they dish up.
  4. Yep chalk and cheese once they hit 13ish!
  5. And to think i was about to applaud your raising efforts with a 10/10...
  6. Yep blasphemy at the highest levels BBO. Although i guess Bailey's is a sort of variation on that and very popular. It's at best a night cap drink though imv.
  7. Summary of Sando's review of tonight's match... (presently in bed on some pretty strong meds inc. endo so pls excuse if i say a few daft &/or obvious unnecessary things here). > No Guthrie, Selwood or Danger this time around vs same match last year where the Cats won the clearances convingly 54 - 36 > Should see the Demons with a decent edge going in through the middle should the tap bros get on top & give more first looks. The clearance battle &, in particular, front half turnovers had a big say over the Pies Cats are also a front half team with this aspect pivotal to their game. Cats in general are struggling to put form together. Trying to put out a number of spot fires from week to week. Eg; They were smashed at stoppage vs the Power 26 - 9 resulting in 6 goals to 1 from this source (stats related to 2nd half only?) If the Demons can replicate the pressure, front half turnovers & score off this it could end up a one sided affair. Countering this is how well Geelong play this ground and their record here. However, feels the Melb system should see us get up. > May to go to Hawkins > Petty takes Cameron > Allows Lever to play the swing man role > Stanley & Blicavs are critical in terms of trying to neautralise Gawn & Grundy, particularly if Gawn drops back like he did against the Pies > The Cats very good at limiting inside 50s against. No.1 in comp here. > Challenge for the Cats will be to find other avenues to goal if May & Petty keep the two big guns relatively quiet. > Were fanatical & ruthless around the ball last season. Not so much so far & Cats will need to somehow find this edge tonight to give themselves a chance. > Defensively, last season they would keep oppos to a pretty low score. Jumped this season ave 85 points which will see you losing most games. > Their reliance on Stewart to give them momentum is pretty skewed vs last year where it was heavily skewed towards their mid field performing. Sees Melbourne winning comfortably
  8. Smith is a more natural forward suited to playing that role a level or two up vs as defender imho. Petty the opposite
  9. I hate Rose' also but in the category of "lolly water wine" this one is surprisingly good. Riverstone Estate...actually all their stuff is up there imo. Their Shiraz in particular was a real stand out for mine...
  10. I have a Rose' here that will be right up your alley then Red
  11. Yes it seemed he was a naughty boy and snuck out at one point LH. I'm not saying this didn't take place. That's not the point i was making.
  12. A very popular version Mr Leg. If it tantilises the tastebuds knock yourself out. Fav cocktail on hols or summer months is ye old Pina Colada and Island Tea goes down pretty well. I have yet to indulge in straight Malibu but it's no doubt been in a cocktail or two over the years as a mixer. TRA is suggesting to add milk 🤔 What else is popular here? Or are you we talking straight on the rocks? *Apologies to Uncle in advance 😄
  13. Yes but he only came out on the Sat / Sunday yes? If the club had issues they would hardly reward him by having him straight back into proceedings a day or two after surely. This article had him still in hospital on the Friday with talk of a discharge on the Sunday... https://thewest.com.au/news/clayton-oliver-still-in-hospital-ruled-out-of-kings-birthday-game-c-10923979
  14. That is one of the best going for sure. Their fizzy stuff bests their rum imho
  15. Yet apparently the Club was happy to have him doing sprints on the G after the KB match The club's actions would appear to contradict your view LH.
  16. Thinking of heading down but there's that awful feeling of funding the Cats' coffers with a pretty hefty $120 for two seats in a bog ordinary stadium that doesn't sit well. Any recommendations for a decent drinking hole pre-match if i do though?
  17. So he'll be playing his usual defender role then
  18. I recall the first one BD. The second.... see below Don't recall the third. I remember a very long one that always amazed me how they could make a banner with that many words but didnt recall the words. I suspect the one you are referring to is the second mentioned by BD here. I always recall at Richmond home games they would have their own running. The one i recall was at the Punt Road end. Can't recall if it was along the boundary or along the edge of the 1st tier. After checking with my older bro, Crusty Demon who's been following since about 65, he stated the following... ..."Masters of the MCG was a famous one I remember very well. It was always placed on the boundary fence on the northern wing in the early 70s. I don't remember the other one though. I do remember a cheer squad banner at Vic Park in the mid seventies that actually said '[censored] on Crappy Collingwog' 😂 True! " .....
  19. Was there any indication that we used some hats (or whatever) to mimic the skinny layout of Kardinia Kev?
  20. Correct. We could and should've been scheduled no earlier than the Sat. They made sure the Cats got a 7 day break and why do they get to play consecutive Thursday nights anyway? This match should be moved to a Sat earliest. This comes back on us though to some degree. Club needs to get in there and fight for a better deal for the boys for this break. Not like we're asking for something everyone else isn't already getting. Smells like discrimination to me.
  21. So thats a mark to Curnow after it bounced off the Suns defender's hands first? I must be living in an alternate world where the rules are entirely different
  22. Someone managing the AFL app must be a big Tiger fan. Usually takes a few hours or more to update ladder positions
