A risky state of affairs Bubs! Could someone pls get word to Uncle that no matter how strong the temptation might be, that under no circumstances is he to use the GPS beacon as a Shiraz stopper (or for any other purpose deemed fit)!
-
Superb LG! I'll be forwarding this to my mining comptroller buddy

Forecasting a massive 8 degrees today... radar is a sea of green. Should be plenty of ducks about.
-
With the amount of booze Uncle's hauling up there (rumours of a road train in tow) i wouldn't count on it Bubs

If you are referring to those scurrilous rumours of basalt and battery.... boulder dash i say!

Apparently waylaid in Coober Pedy Mr Leg Hope he isn't thinking of letting any geologists drive the Bentley. They're often hammered and stoned.

That's a great result for us and that's a great result that will see the Cats struggle to make the eight from here. Nichols nearly got them over the line with the help of about half of the Swannies.
-
Swans are mentally shot... they just can't bring themselves to kick the winning goal lol
-
Swans panicking and playing on at all costs as if there's only 2 minutes left So many dumb plays and decisions/ disposals. Cats are almost as bad but the Swans have no composure at all
-
So Blicavs takes the ball out of the ruck, fends off his rucking oppo, and is then tackled. SURELY SURELY that's HTB Ump? Any or you four see it that way?? Nup. 5 seconds later a Swan fends off on the run and the quick but correct whistle comes...HTB! One interpretation of the rule for one team (or ignoring it intentionally?), and one for the other team. The umpiring continues it's 'all time' low ebb! The Jokefest continues.

I agree Mono but it's all about timing and form at Casey. Plus a little of how much is Simon wanting/willing to experiment. It's also a bit of a timing issue depending on who we're playing yes? Rounds 20? (Tigers), 21 (North) ✅️ & 23? (Hawks) might be an ipportunity to debut one or both and manage a few seniors.

Quite a whimsical adventure PF. Much appreciate you heading out to the dead marshes of Casey to bring this report to the DL faithful. However i believe you might’ve left out the most important part. The part that started off the whole saga. You apparently took the hand of some stranger as you slipped in the bog getting out of your car. A stranger somewhat off his nut who whisked you all the way to the last frontier... the wild lands of W.A. Where you then spent a little too much time on the choof courtesy of some of McQueen's finest chop!

Harmes finished off the game against Geelong strongly. The SC must surely have at least thought about him as back up to help out Viney & Tracc with extraction/clearance work with Clarry out yet again. Be surprised if he isn't sub for Spargo. Taj has to be close. Very classy on the outside and starting to get to more contests. Finishing off his work with some decent passes now while reducing his early season clangers. The FD would be tracking his progress and tank etc no doubt. Even if ready on the performance side who does he replace? The only way i can see howes getting in is an injury down back somewhere or maybe a winger having a really bad run for 2 to 3 games, or also an injury to one of them. Then you might see McVee moved onto a wing with Howes taking over McVee's role. Howes a lovely decision maker and pretty classy by foot. Able to hit targets inside 50. Same with McVee and more often if moved up to a wing. Highly unlikely (this season) and obviously we prefer that no one ends up out from injury.

JVR only if banged up imv AF. Smithy's doing what a forward shld do ....kicking goals. We have 3 smalls, at least one too many. Aside from Kozzy, Chandler and the sub Spargo aren't bothering the scorer and haven't for weeks now. The smart thing to do is to drop one of them for BB. For me at this point that would be Chandler. Assuming BB comes in then we don't need one of the tap bros to rest up forward where they are mostly innefective, rarely kick goals and end up bringing more oppo with them making the 50 even more congested than it usually is. Grundy as sub. Spargo remains at Casey. Bowey in for ANB. Tomo in for Hibb. Melk should also probably be getting a guernsey on the bench this week for Jordan. Sparkling goal kicking form and would be leading the way with instructions for some of the less experienced forwards. His voice and direction to the likes of Kozzy, JVR and others would be invaluable. Even if it was just for a small block of games. Our present forward line, bar Fritsch, is devoid of leadership and experience. BB's return this week will help on the exp side somewhat and hopefully a decent assist in taking the heat off JVR a little.

Not sticking with anything here they're not my metrics. Pretty sure most here can and do do the eyes thing, along with some numbers. It's a choice thing. Some like to look and some don't. Each to there own mate

FWIW.... Within this Hoyne mentions that there are two premiership metrics that 14 of the last 17 premiers have met. > Ability to Restrict the Oppo's inside 50s; and > Ability to restrict the oppo from scoring once they do get inside 50. The 14 premiers have all ranked in the top 6 in doing so.... in both of these. There are only two clubs presently sitting in the top 6 in both of these metrics... The Power & The Demons. The Pies aren't there at present.

FW & Verral are at the very embryonic phase of their careers. And Verral just coming back from injury will need a full pre-season before hitting the ground at full tilt next season. Might be better to ask about their development & prospects around this time next year me thinks.

Ahh yes .. not the suburb!

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Demon Dynasty replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I've only seen that match. Fair enough Dazzle. De Mattia will be an interesting watch. I thought Dursma was VG in that match but only in small snippets. A bit underhwlemimg in terms of how he went across the four quarters vs the hype. Young fellas can be inconsistent though and only one match of course. -

While one match doesn't make a summer .... did you happen to warch the U18 Nats between Country & SA at Ikon Park a few weeks ago? He was a stand out and imho bested Reid on the day with both coming back from issues (Reid from the head knock & Moir injury interrupted for much of thr season). While he didn't get alot of it i felt it was quality over quantity. All class, off both sides and finished with 2 goals. Some nice chained scoring involvements also. Reid played a fair chunk early as a forward with three early. Then i think was moved into the middle after a while. The other notable performers on the day for mine... De Mattia, Shipp, Rudd and to a somewhat lessor degree Wilson for Country and... Delean & Draper for SA There were other VG performances but father-and-son or Academy so haven't listed like Welsh. Kid's gonna be a monster size when he stops growing lol.
