GAMEDAY: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
Really? I am having a dig at mental health, because I think it's ludicrous for every second player to come out and hide behind mental health every time they have to deal with a negative narrative? That is the epitome of minimising mental health, and it actually takes away from those who truly are battling mental health issues. He was fair game getting stuck into Gawn, but he can't cop it the other way? Give me a break. A kid who really is suffering from mental health issues, is not putting himself out there like he has. He was happy to cop the praise, so he needs to be happy to cop the negativity coming his way. As for violence, I said I hope he gets tackled high for no frees. I did not say I hope we injure him. Get off your weird high horse.

Hopefully both, simultaneously, and no free. I despise that kid. Cries about his mental health, but has carried on like a pork chop all season... make your bed and all that.

Gawn down with a serious ankle injury, basically unable to move at FF for a half.

Collingwood - One trick pony
I don't like it, because I don't like arrogance. I hope we win, or this comment will look even sillier, considering they have the wood over us.

GAMEDAY: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
Didn't have to play on May last time... that helps. We need to beat them. There is nothing more to say.

TEAMS: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
Iโm happy with this. Gus to play more midfield which strengthens us even more considering Adams is out for the Pies Please just smash them!

CHANGES: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
I donโt like this from Ed. I prefer to let the footy do the talking. Itโll look pretty stupid if we lose now.

CHANGES: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
I think we use the sub as much to give the in-form VFL guys a taste and to say "you are really close", as we do for tactical reasons. While I agree that I would play a tall as a sub given we are missing Tmac and have nobody who can swing back to defend, I can also see the value in Harmes being sub, as he can play a number of different roles. He allows us to also shuffle the mids/forwards and potentially send someone down back if we need a hand there. Edit: I actually think Smith would be a great sub.

Strange quote from Freo coach
All I can say is, good luck to Jackson. The grass isnโt always greener. You have no idea how good you have it at Melbourne.

CHANGES: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
For the love of god, do NOT lose to these clowns. I want to bury them and make them realise what a truly mediocre side they actually are and how lucky they have been to get an easy draw and get away with so many close wins. I also want to see Howe and Ginnivin cry. Ugly cry.

Welcome to Demonland: Country Road
Definitely not. A massively strong brand owned by a South African company now that also owns Witchery, Mimco and a few other brands. This is a great partnership for all the MCC high brow fans of Melbourne and also for those of us who enjoy 20% offโฆ If you donโt own their towels youโre missing out ๐

Should Jack Viney be captain again?
Max Gawn is the best captain in the AFL. Modern leadership is about a lot more than just performance. Gawn has the empathy and ability to connect with all types of people, which makes him the perfect leader. He has a unique ability to relate to and inspire everyone, from 18 year old rookies to 30 year old veterans. Viney is a great player and someone you would love to run out with every week. He would die for his teammates and he never leaves anything out on the field. But his personality would not be everyone's cup of tea, and that is absolutely fine. He is a hard man to please, and it makes him a great player and good leader, but for mine he is not the sort of captain you want in 2022. I think Lever is our next captain. Incredibly well spoken, well loved by his teammates, great footy brain, and has that same fatherly type figure about him.

COACHES VOTES: Round 20, 2022
Anderson is a very good player but he isnโt consistent like Touk Miller. Touk Miller delivers week in week out. Just like Oliver. He is consistently very good.

COACHES VOTES: Round 20, 2022
I literally said heโs had an outstanding year and is a gun player. Can come to Melbourne anytime.
-
COACHES VOTES: Round 20, 2022
Sure, but Touk has no competition within his own team. Quite often standout players in middle of the road sides win Brownlows. It would help enormously that GC have received a lot less thumpings this year than previous years, and no doubt Touk has had an outstanding year and is a gun player. No doubt Dew is gonna help him along too. For me Oliver winning the Coaches Award last year in a premiership winning season was an outstanding achievement. To finish top 3 again this year, which I suspect he will, just backs up what a remarkably consistent player he is at the top level. I think his last two weeks have been well down due to his injury, and not because he has been successfully tagged. It's very hard to tag someone who is so skilled at winning contested footy. Also if he played for Geelong, he would get 10 free kicks a game. Alas he just gets dragged, held and hit behind play instead.
-
COACHES VOTES: Round 20, 2022
Touk Miller has no competition. Oliver is literally competing with his own teammate who is just 3 points behind him. It's why he is unlikely to win a Brownlow. He plays in a midfield that is just too strong. Has to start kicking goals if he's to win it one day I think, or hope Trac and Viney have shocking seasons... which he never would want!

Farewell Luke Jackson
Playing under Gawn is the best apprenticeship any young ruckman can hope for and the softest introduction to AFL. The grass is definitely far less green when youโre expected to be a star recruit at 21 and your only support is another young ruckman who is trying to make a name for themselves. Itโs not going to be easy for Jackson to try and take time in the ruck from Darcy. Canโt see him being as generous as Max was in a grand final.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Just donโt tell the majority of Demonland posters who banged on for 2 seasons what a horrible result it was for us. We basically got two gun key defenders which made up a third of our premiership defense, for pick 10. A bargain.

CHANGES: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
Absolutely not. Sadly for Dunstan he is a one trick pony. Harmes can play a few roles and also tag. He gives us far greater flexibility. Dunstan was always going to struggle for consistent AFL game time coming to us. He really only replaces Viney or Oliver.

NON-MFC: Round 20, 2022
Yep. A percentage booster against North could see them overtake us. They are a game behind however, so win all 3 and we cannot be overtaken. Lose one and it comes down to percentage.
