Big difference is, we had no home advantage against the Pies, we played North and Eagles both away from home (they got one of each), and we travelled interstate 3 times from round 18 onwards versus Geelong twice, including the last round of the season.

I did some digging. Us, Sydney, Geelong and Collingwood but only Priority 1 members all at 10am tomorrow. Collingwood Priority 2 members from 10:30. I predict the site will crash at 10:01am tomorrow.

Same. I just want to clarify that the AFL and Ticketek in their wisdom are letting ALL club members of ALL competing clubs have access to tickets at the exact same time tomorrow?

It matters to me that Geelong get the softest draw when they were a top 4 team. It would also matter to me if we finished 3rd and lost a home final because Sydney had a soft draw when they too made finals last year. There will always be anomalies. Nobody thought Pies will finish top 4 and Port and Dogs were clearly both thought of as contenders. But the reality is that Geelong finished top 4 and yet they played the wooden spooners twice and West Coast twice, who didn't make the 8 and were wildly tipped to be rubbish this season.

They finished bottom 4 though, so I can understand why. As I said above, what's the excuse for Geelong?!

Absolute joke that Geelong who finished2nd and made a prelim last year, had a significantly softer draw than the remaining prelim finalists. I totally understand the top 4 and premiers from the previous year getting the harder draw, but WTF is with the dream run that Geelong, Brisbane and Sydney got? Hopefully it catches up with them in finals. We would have finished 1st if we also got to play North and West Coast twice, including two games at the MCG.

And being allowed to hit players without getting suspended.

The only thing harder than a perfect season (which is what we had last year), is following up from a perfect season. Of the 4 teams who made last year’s prelim, one didn’t make finals and one only got in because another team lost by a point.

Hibbo will take Papley. May to Buddy, Petty to Reid (what an upgrade on Tomlinson), Lever on McDonald. I would get Harmes to play on Heeney. For me, he is their key playmaker. If we can shut him down I think we win.

They only beat us by 2 goals FFS and we were in the middle of a form slump (aka loading). They can have all the confidence in the world, but I saw us and them play this weekend and I know who kills who at peak form (and we played a far more formidable opponent at a ground they rarely lose at!).
