  1. Why? Our list is primed to continue to challenge. We only have two key players who I suspect will slow down significantly in the next year or two, in May and Gawn. And we can absolutely go out and try and replace both in trades.
  2. What do you think would happen in 2024 that would lead us to sack a coach who got us 3 top 4 finishes and a flag in the previous 3 seasons? He is literally the most successful coach of the last 3 seasons in the AFL.
  3. Their form is very ordinary. Other than the Giants, they haven’t beaten a top 8 side since round 11 when they beat Carlton (when Carlton was no good).
  4. What’s the jury out on? He’s already delivered us a flag and we are again in the hunt for another. What more do you expect from a coach?
  5. Their arrogance is truly bizarre. Smashed in the granny and barely got to finals thanks to a some lucky breaks. I guess when the AFL is spoon feeding you at every opportunity, you grow into an entitled brat.
  6. From a ginger, can confirm is a ginger. Ginger does not necessarily mean red hair. Can be strawberry blonde with the addition of freckles. Not all gingers are born equal…. Some of us are more elite than others, but we welcome all 😂
  7. Quite honestly there is only so much BS the AFL can pull. In no way is McKay worth pick 2. Not even if Sydney pay him a million bucks.
  8. Great news. No other coach in the league has gotten their club 3 top 4 finishes and a flag (maybe 2?!) the last 3 seasons. Results speak for themselves.
  9. West Coast were not taking Reid so pick 2 suits them fine.
  10. I think a lot will depend on what happens on Friday night and Saturday. Pies and Lions both win and we have no incentive to win and should rest players. Pies lose and Lions win (or lose!) and suddenly the optics change.
  11. You can 100% rule them out. They will not lose that #1 pick with one game left in the season. Absolutely no chance in hell.
  12. Exactly. If Brisbane lose, which is not out of the realms of possibility, they'll go all out to secure a home final. If Brisbane win, they are pretty much in a no win situation because they have to travel for their first final anyway. Doubt they'd flirt with form, when their form has only been so so recently.
  13. Any ideas why he didn't play for Casey on the weekend?
  14. Same. Result doesn’t worry me, only injuries do. Luckily the Swans will be in similar self preservation mode, having secured a finals birth. They won’t want to risk injuries or suspensions either. Although they apparently don’t cop suspensions 🙄
  15. I agree. If we beat the Pies in week one (which we absolutely can especially if Daicos doesn’t get up), then we will more than likely end up playing a prelim at the G against an interstate side. Which opens up our chances significantly of making the grand final. Lose that game however and the road is paved with danger and interstate prelim.
  16. Agreed. Also means less pressure on Sydney to win this week just to make finals. Might see them rest Papley as a result.
  17. Ben Brown cannot take a trick. He must be ready to call it quits.
  18. Nothing surprises me about the AFL anymore. They look after their important clubs and the hell with the rest. It’s a dream outcome for them to have a final in NSW. They’ll make sure it happens one way or another.
  19. Gees we are in a good spot. Not one player on this list who I will lose sleep over. Hibbo will retire and I reckon Melksham will get one year deal. The rest are a wait and see. My guess is JJ goes, we possibly rookie AMW, and the rest get delisted with Schache potentially getting another year if Grundy goes and we can’t find another ruck backup.
  20. Yes because Max wanted to be fit and healthy in September. He wouldn’t care who helped him get there.
  21. At this point I just want no injuries. Just please no more injuries!
  22. As if. Media love to tow the company line.
  23. You’d want a lot more than that for Grundy. Georgiadis has shown very little in his career and is 6 months into a knee reco. Grundy is a proven ready to go A grade ruckman.
