Cleaned out the closet while watching Casey get smashed. 0 stars.

If Grundy plays and wins a flag this year, would he still be out the door?

Every forecast I’ve looked at says rain will be in the morning. Also it’s Melbourne. Chances of this forecast being correct 6 days out is 0%.

What They Are Saying at Victoria Park: QF 1
Jaded No More replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
Let me guess. We are the best in it. We’ve been faking this poor form. We wanted other clubs to think we are not good. Fly will have us playing a totally different game plan. They only beat us because we were sick and missing key players. We will win the flag. Melbourne are no good. I got my day released approved. I sold my last tooth for a ticket.- 73 replies

My condolences

He would never have been told he isn’t playing. What if Gawn gets injured at training or in game? He is 100% in line to play at any time during our finals campaign and this is what he should focus on. Same for Port. Don’t you have a game to win? 🙄

This women’s team would beat West Coast. Unbelievable performance!

May this game mirror our men’s game on Thursday. Relentless pressure, sexy ball use inside 50, domination of the Pies.
-
Elliot is very strong. I worry McVee doesn’t have the body strength. I would think McVee takes Ginnivin
-
He really lowered his colours to Charlie Cameron, which to be fair is not that unusual. Cameron is an insanely good player. But he plays very close to goal and that helped. Also helped they were without Moore for that game. Either way Kosi close to goal is the stuff of nightmares for defenders. On the other side, so is Elliot who didn’t play on KB but has a long tradition of tearing us apart. Hibbo has to come into consideration for mine, although I cannot tell you who comes out of that backline to make way unless we drop Turner and go small.
-
True but he’s susceptible closer to goal. Hope Kosi plays out of the goal square and goes flying.
-
Their backline is full of great interceptors and runners. But can any of them defend one on one under pressure?
-
Honestly I would be very disappointed if he’s meeting clubs already when our season is far from over. Can’t believe our club would tell him he’s done, because any slight injury to Max could see him play finals, hell even a Grand Final. Needs to focus on that rather than looking for the nearest exit.

Jack Viney make them cry 2.0

If Watts played in our current side, instead of the hell dumpster that our club was back then, he would be a best 22 player. Likewise if we had the conditioning and fitness staff and the common sense we do now, Grimes and Trengove's careers would have been a lot better, especially Trengove who we destroyed by mismanaging his body and making him captain when he was like 5 years old. Embarrasing stuff.
-
Not disappointing. What if the club wants to play an intra club this week in the lead up to our game and would rather those guys front up to that instead of a VFL final? Our #1 priority is our AFL side. If we learnt anything from last year, is that we need everyone fit, firing and ready to go. What if one of these guys did a serious injury at Casey, like Dunstan last week, and was needed in a prelim? How annoyed would you be if Gawn went down against the Pies and Grundy was unavailable because he got injured at Casey?
-
If Nick Daicos plays I'll eat my hat! His dad said he can't see it happening, Nick was less than convinced, and the Pies expect him to only start running next week. Hope he plays, because he will break down 2.5 seconds into a Viney tackle.
-
Agreed. I really like Moore. He’s very intelligent and well spoken and comes across as doing things his own way, much like Max. Shame he plays for such a repulsive club, instead of the club his grandad played for!
-
Such a well spoken leader without the BS and the cliches. Just love to listen to him. How lucky we are to call him our captain!

Invisible moonboots are the latest technology in recovery from goal poisoning.
-
Neither is Bowey’s or McVee’s… both are hard as nails. Jefferson is much lighter than him and I’ve seen him happily split packs at Casey.
-
At least Weideman can say that we had a dominant 2018 finals season.
-
He has the talent, it was why he was a top draft pick. He doesn't have the mongrel. To be a key position player, or any player really, you need to be physical and at least be ok with body contact. Not everyone is Viney or May, but you have to really be willing to put your body on the line to make it. Schache is very timid and I can't see it changing.
-
For sure, which is why Kosi needs to play deep. The Pies get a lot of drive from him at half back. If Kosi is playing out of the square, ala Charlie Cameron, it becomes a totally different proposition because you cannot take your eyes off of him for even one second when he's hovering around the goals. It worked well last week when Melksham came off and I hope to see it again next Thursday. I have a feeling we are going to pull a few new things in finals. Kosi will play more midfield and then go deep, and I think Gawn will float behind the ball more to help out the defenders, especially if Tmac comes in.
-
He will do it again and nothing will be done. First centre bounce he will try to go for Gawn's ribs. We just need to be prepared, because it will happen. Cox is a bog ordinary footballer who thinks he's a big tough guy, one of my most hated players in the AFL. Hope Viney lays a Viney tackle on him.
