Glaring weakness in defence
I don't think so, he was often exposed by big forwards. We probably haven't paid enough attention to this need over the last few years, because we've been too busy building a midfield from scratch.

Doesn't Lloyd just look so uncomfortable and awkward on camera? It almost makes me uncomfortable watching him speak.

Saw Clarrie limping pretty heavily after the game. Haven't heard anything about an injury concern so assume it was just a cramp. Anyone able to confirm?

The Importance of Jordan Lewis
Lewis has been solid since round 13 and is stepping up exactly when we need him to. No point stressing about next year yet.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Pederson is 30, Weideman is developing and when Maxy goes forward, someone needs to rotate with him. McDonald has performed admirably in the role this season, so if we were to recruit Lever I could see him spending much of his time up forward and relieving Maxy. There's no reason he can't go back when required.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Well it makes sense that if T McDonald were to continue up forward in that FWD/Ruck role, with Hogan and Watts, we need a quality defender to fill the hole he leaves down back. Lever would be a phenomenal pick up and with Frost and Oscar, would form a formidable back line.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Good one GT. My opinion on Weideman is that his trade value is low, as he's a virtual unknown commodity. Young key position players often are, due to generally developing later that midfielders and other smaller players. My saying his currency is low or non-existent doesn't mean I think he has no potential or is a bust, which is what you seem to be saying. He has great potential and should be afforded plenty of time to develop. I don't want us to trade him, and if the club were to try and trade him I don't think we'd get much for him. Happy?

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Weideman has virtually no currency at this stage OD.

End of year delistings
Has spent a fair bit of time injured, hasn't he?

Looks as though Zero Hanger might get some of their information from Demonland. https://www.zerohanger.com/reports-adelaide-young-gun-high-melbournes-radar-12747/?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=AFL+Zero+Hanger

Joe Daniher
They've lost a lot of players over the last 5 years... Hibberd, Melksham, Ryder, Carlisle etc.

Joe Daniher
I might be missing something but what has that got to do with Daniher's contract? It all seems above board.

I agree that they're better defenders than the guys we have, no issues there. But at this stage I think it's more important to look and recruit elsewhere - some more midfield pace and a back up ruckman. Our defence will get better with development. Another issue with recruiting May is how to integrate him into the zone defence that we play.

The irony is that posters keep saying they want May because he is a bigger type of defender than the ones we have. He's not. Personally I don't think recruiting May would solve many problems.

Classic half back flanker He's never averaged more than about 1.5 tackles a game throughout his career, so we knew what we were getting. And that's fine because what he does at the moment, no one else in the back line can do.

He's 21 years old bub. Oscar is well ahead of the curve for a player of his size and age.

LOL at Carlton with Kreuzer - 13 wins, 29 losses. Fantastic.

Trengove would be a great pick up. Would almost prefer him to May for his versatility. Side note, the surname Trengove looks weirder every time I look at it.

How do you figure? May is listed as 193cm and 102kg. Tom McDonald is listed as 194cm and 101kg. Oscar is 196cm and 97kg, Frost a little smaller at 194cm and 94kg. May looks to have a different kind of body shape but I don't think it's about size, it's about the way they use their height and weight. May is better at that and would be a great addition, but these guys can learn IMO.

A mature back up ruck would be nice. At least we have our tall defence 'covered', they just need to improve a bit.

Our record at the MCG
I don't think this is a valid reason. We've struggled to break out of our back fifty in most of our games there, particularly yesterday against North. If it's the width of the ground, hypothetically that should also make it easier for us to break out of other teams zones. I think it's mental and it has snowballed since our first loss there this year.

Clarence Oliver
I've voted for Clarrie's goal about 7 times now. He better get the nomination.

Even Hogan, if that choice had to be made?
