  1. Damn, he was on the list.
  2. Yeah Tarantino's latest was so good it inspired a name change! Sorry for the timing guys
  3. I just want to say I hope your gem is Tino Best of the West Indies.
  4. I've still got a couple of gems in the works which I hope others have missed/forgotten about and I don't want that ruined! My team is struggling enough.
  5. He's been making many of these runs against the best attack in the world. And to think, he's never even had a beer.
  6. Gautam Gambhir, India. Edit: spelling.
  7. Mitchell Johnson, bit of X factor.
  8. Yeah well it'll be interesting to see how she goes acting in features. Looks like I have a bit of viewing to do, cheers! Nah it's good to have a break from all the footy talk I think.
  9. Haven't seen Red Dog but I heard it was quite good. Saw Napoleon Dynamite when it first came out and hated every second of it but I now have two copies lying around and have probably watched it at least 5 times. Haven't seen the film of Wake in Fright but recently saw a theater performance of it and that was really great.
  10. I was looking forward to watching after work... doesn't look like there'll be anything to see by 6.
  11. So after Django I did a bit of research on the net about Quentins next film and found some wild rumours, however a common theme seemed to be Lady Gaga appearing in it. She has set herself the goal of winning an Oscar in the next five years and her and Quentin meet up fairly often and are good mates (Quentin's own words). Could be an interesting combination - who's crazier?
  12. Jeez I thought he retired. How old is he these days?
  13. Nice choice Sorry I didn't mean it to sound as if I thought you were sarcastic... he is pretty underrated around the world but top 3 ICC allrounders every year. Also top 10 bowlers the last year too I think.
  14. Hm should have thought more about selecting a bowler, I'm going to end up with a pedestrian attack.
  15. No worries... Darren Bravo (WI). I seriously think he'd be a genuine star in a decent team, it's disappointing that we won't see him have the support of a better side.
  16. That's what I gathered but want to make sure because I'm quite keen on Shakib Al Hasan.
  17. What's the go with Bangladesh? Can we choose players or does it have to be strictly from the 8 sides selected?
  18. I had a similar phenomenon with the Hobbit - saw it and loved it and then read in the Age the next day a review where Chris Mathieson (?) gave it one and a half stars.
  19. Taylor is still a Test player until retired, I thought? Thought I had a gem at pick 31 there!
  20. Sounds like you have quite a good collection!
  21. From what I've seen of the trailers it looks visually fantastic and my girlfriend who was reading the book just recently said it was a great story. I think I'll try and see it in the next couple of weeks. Was it that 'Taking Woodstock' movie that soiled your opinion of Lee lol? Ps just out of interest have you done any kind of study in film or are you just an enthusiast?
  22. Ah that would be great!
  23. Often the violence, in particular the bloodiness, is so overdone that it is comical. It gets to this stage in Django and of course Kill Bill, and to an extent in Inglorious Basterds. Haven't seen True Romance so I'll have to check it out. Have you seen Death Proof? I haven't personally but I checked out a couple of trailers and it didn't look super impressive.
  24. I reckon his techniques are far too unique to be shop worn but it's tough to beat Reservoir Dogs and a couple of the other older ones. It wouldn't be a Tarantino flick without the stylised violence though RR. Also there was enough suggested violence, particularly the bloke getting torn apart by dogs and the 'Mandingo' fight.
