It always does sound authentic until he changes his mind, then again it could be another smoke screen to take the attention away from Malthouse.

LM is proven in this area and while TV is a great Dees man he is not proven (yet).

IMO Lyon could be the smoke screen to help MM avoid the spot light as was Clarkson. On AFL 360 tonight Robbo suggested that if MM/Lyon is not available what about L Mathews. Robbo made the comment that (nut case) (my words) sheeds has lost 12 Kg to get fitter to prentend (again my words) to coach GWS (ie Mark Williams pulling his muppet strings). LM has lost 10Kg and when Robbo asked why he said to become more healty. A long bow I know but could be a consideration. Time will tell and yes its been an extremely long and frustrating season waiting for things to happen.

Billy I wouldnt discount Williams or to a lessor extent Thompson and Roos. IMO Gary Lyon seems very satisfied with himself/relaxed when ever he is asked about the coaching gig. Me thinks he knows who it is (me hopes).

Everyone has different opinions and we are no different also look at Franky_31 comments in regards to his 2 mates. All I know is when we spoke he was very passionate about the Dees. As for bagging us well I think nearly all posters here at one time or another have had a go at the Dees about something thats got up there nose. It can be very frustrating following the Dees and sometimes you need to vent but at the end of the day we still love the club and want to see it succeed.

Love the Ox always have always will. I was always of the opinion that the Dees had a chance of keeping TS until I went to Melb in June and had a fairly long conversation with the Ox. After that convo I was convinced he was gone. I did read somewhere on this site of someone saying that the Ox did not seem to support Melb. This is so far from the truth its not funny. He still very much loves the Dees. Bring on the new coach and season 2012

In his presser he said he contacted MFC including Viney, Lyon (i think) and others. He did not mention that he spoke with Stynes. Surely he would have but then again based on the events of the past couple of days you never know!!

Must admit when ever Lyon is asked about the coaching gig he seems to be really uncomfortable. I reckon he knows who we have or are very close to getting and not being able to say so is not sitting well with him.

You can not blame him for taking the money. Whats got my goat is all the BS in getting to the decision thats what has hurt him imo. Its not the end of the world and will galvanize all Dees supporters. Renew your membership we support the CLUB not the individual. Glad its all over and we can move forward.
