Varcoe dropped some knees into Viney after a tackle towards the start of the game, dog act. As soon as the scuffle broke out Viney made a beeline to Varcoe, great stuff!!

I'd rather attempt to land a Bontempelli/Kelly to add to Jones, Viney, Tyson, Cross, Vince, Toumpas, Salem, Trenners (maybe one day?) than swap both for a 27 year old Josh Kennedy. I want to win games as much as anyone however don't want to rely on a couple of players to get to a middle of the ladder position and watch an aging list slip back down.

We could potentially be bringing in the best two young mids in the country. Last year picks 2 and 3 were Kelly and Billings (Bontempelli at 4)

Getting rid of a true loyal and old school clubman like Trenners is a stupid decision. It is also one that could potentially cause more damage than many realize. We are not getting Beams or Danger, stop living a fantasy. More likely we will get another speculative draft pick and loose one of the few players on our list that puts in and wants to be there.

Still have faith that a fit Trengove can be a real gun. Sort of see him as a Luke Ball, Lenny Hayes type player. Also, I always get the feeling he loves the club and wants to see it rise. Given where a lot of players heads are at the last few years this is something we need a lot more of...

Power and Crows hate each other more than any 2 other clubs in the country. They enjoy seeing each others team lose as much as they enjoy their own team winning. If Tex (who is a crows favorite) went to Port they would burn his house down!!

From a member of staff at the dees; the rumors about Melbourne going hard after Dangerfield are 100% true. Pick 1 and 2 are being discussed. Not saying that it will happen but Melbourne are giving it every chance.

Aside for the possible Essendon bans, Ryder would be an amazing pick up!! A good versatile ruck that can also find the footy around the ground. Fast, takes marks and goes forward and kicks goals.

Agree Pendelbury, Ablett, Selwood, Dangerfield are a class above. The 40 man squad is a chance to pick simply the 40 best players in the league for a given year. Eddie Betts, Tom Lonergan, Callan Ward, Brandon Ellis, Tom Liberatore, Harry Taylor etc simply have not had better years than Jones. The fact is Jones is easily in the top 40 players this year, however he plays for Melbourne, so he was overlooked

Mal Michael retired from Brisbane at the end of the 2006 season, only to change his mind a month later and be picked up by Essendon in the Pre-Season draft. I don't believe Brisbane received anything and Essendon got another couple of years out of Michael.
