I guess because that might have to be the sacrifice Grundy has to make if he wants to play with Melb. Regardless of any club split of the contract, I wld think Grundy would need to accept a pay reduction. He has always looked a cultural mis-fit at Collingwood, surrounded by meat heads like Adams, De Goey and the general supporter base. I'd only want to give a late first rounder.

Hunt in to cover one of their 4 quicks is a good move.

I consider the long contracts a strategic cap approach. Means we can pay under market for prime years, allowing us to maximise the talent on the list during our premiership window. Then at the back end of the deals, player performance might tapper off but realistically we'll be going into rebuild.

They played with a lot more intensity and hardly let up. Both had 5 day breaks: They had a training run at home last game and we had a tough away game (even if Adelaide are a bottom side). Just saying. Be interesting to watch them play on a normal size oval, but i cant be bothered watching them. Missing another quality tall marking option. Although BB was encouaging in the first half.

The role Goodie has for BBB is to compete for the the long ball, usually against an outnumber, with the purpose being to bring it to ground. The fact he is 200 cm helps him do this along with the method of flying up with only one arm extended. Its a bit of a waste of talent, but so wld a plan to use our average kicking skills to hit him up on a lead exposing us on the rebound. Having our best contested mark in Gawn play in the 50 is pretty appealing.

Having not watched any crows games, does anyone have an informed take on their 3 outs? Outside running players? Will they lose a bit of run?

I would think the long contract gives us a bit of flexibility with our cap. Run his contract out to his 33rd year allowing us to pay him a bit less in our premiership window years and comparatively more in the back end rebuild years.
