Farewell Luke Jackson
If there is no suitable trade Jackson walks to the pre-season draft and spends a year at Nth before asking for another trade or he signs on for another year with the dees, hanging out in a great culture with mates looking for a third premiership and asks for a trade the following year? Am i wrong? And whats bad about that scenario for MFC ?

Farewell Luke Jackson
Makes sense that Brayshaw's contract offer is dependant on LJ. I could somewhat see LJ being genuinely undecided, but its got to be looking unlikely he stays having taken this long. Surely, MFC can wedge both WA clubs, and essentially tell LJ, 'we can trade you to WC for pick 2 and second rounder, if you want to go home, thats fair a reasonable, but unless Freo match it we won't be trading you to them'. Freo would have to find quality player or two that wants to return to Melb. They have a few. Lobb was on the trading doco last year wanting to go to Vic, but you'd think he is only worth an early 2 rounder.

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
Wonder if the cats will fade, given their declared loading.

CASEY: Rd 14 vs Gold Coast
Early call, but could see us drafting the ruckman - Bell.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Watching at the ground, thought be was a beast around the stoppage. 9 tackles, hard tackles too, plus the unquantifiable pressuring, scrapping, hunting. He's immense in the little things and serviceable in the key areas. Has great link up hands. I now think we play him 70% ruck and Gawn out of the goal square, Fritch around the 40.

POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs Sydney
Bowey to the half fwd line for some connection. Langdon and Jordan on the wings. Salo and Brayshaw play hbf.

POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs Sydney
Dee supporters need to lift our game. Far too quite, far too 'polite'. Not cheering our club and players is unacceptable.

CASEY: Rd 08 vs North Melbourne
Yep, once he has the fitness i think Laurie might be edging Spargo out of the side.

PODCAST: Rd 07 vs Hawthorn
Thanks for the pod guys! Relishing an hour or two in pure Melb footy indulgence is like footy porn to me on a Monday night. 😂😋

NON-MFC: Round 5, 2022
Brisbane are our challengers. Their main chink is they are very heavy set physique wise, much in the mold of Lions 2001 and i reckon they can be outrun with handball overlap.

POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
I wish the whole team would adopt BBB's set shot routine. Ive tried it down the park and it works a treat. Besides it'd be hilarious.

NON-MFC: Round 3, 2022
If a player has to be subbed off due to a strike from an opp player, surely that's a week. Do precedents matter in the AFL ?😉

CASEY: Rd 01 vs Sandringham
Suprised how jacked Taj Woewodin looks.

NON-MFC: Round 2, 2022
Blues looked formidable. I just hope for a laugh they have set themselves up for a Collingwood like Salary Cap debacle on the back of their big player offers. Would love to know how how all that sits.

POSTGAME: Community Series vs Carlton
I was miffed at all the tackles we layed without stopping them from disposing effectively. Whats with that? Many many games last year we got done in the middle/clearances but our defence saved us - not tonight. Our defence against opp small fwds continues to be troubling, but doesn't help with such muggy slippery conditions. That's how you beat Melb but at same time it's equally not a reliable strategy. I wish Hunt showed better form. Think Tommo gets the nod over Smith. Smith is a bit of a Frosty type. Will be interesting to see if our finals was us having a form spike or if the finals form is the new Melb. Last reg. season we just found ways to win without dominating.

Grand Final Celebration at the G
Cutting off the Metallica music too early was a little anticlimactic - I was getting so bumped ! Could have started with some Bells Bells too. That intro was when the emotion of the day geared up - our team, our club ! New Spotify game day playlist has been created.

Welcome to Demonland: Blake Howes
To my mind Rosman is the future TMac replacement. 194 cm, with strong marking hands and brilliant endurance. I think he has been out on a wing just as a waiting position. Hell I remember Chip Frawley played his first few games on a wing because he had pace. Rosman is a long game

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
Didn't realise JT was so tall. Great vid. Love the insight into the importance of the play psych profile. I think that might be where JT has a special talent.

Welcome to Demonland - Pick 17
Ow, how about we entice Dawson to the dees instead, now that we have the capital to do the deal? Might end up better for us than Cerra.

Jake Melksham
Win win here I think. I believe he signed a 4 yr extension in 2018 at the peak of his powers when he was arguably in our top 5 most important players. So expect he is on decent coin. So moving him on frees up wasted cap space and gives him a better chance at playing senior footy and getting a 2 year deal to extend his career. Really liked him as a player, great finisher, but wasn't a spot in the 22 with the way we play. In 2018 he was the no. 1 contested player inside 50 from memory.
