  1. I think you'll find that the AFL has a dictionary which defines "everyone" as the Seven Network and Foxtel.
  2. 6. Chandler 5. Sparrow 4. Oliver 3. Salem 2. Lindsay 1. Petracca (not really worthy of a vote...but more worthy than anybody else)
  3. Like this? Melbourne tram drivers in European championships - Rail Express
  4. We really have reached peak Elon Musk problems when Demonland is being affected.
  5. We seem very quick to disbelieve the media when they claim to know about a player's keenness to leave the club. Why would we now decide that the media has this story correct? While it might be true, I recommend every story in the media, whether its favourable or not to our club's and our players' interests, be treated with caution.
  6. I really hope your last line was an unintended pun rather than an attempt at humour. If you don't know what I'm referencing, let's just leave it there.
  7. 3 in and 2 out. That should help us win.
  8. Not sure about that argument. We could have easily subbed out a forward and played Langford there.
  9. I saw the game via TV, not at the ground. My votes: 6. Gawn 5. Lever 4. Petracca 3. McDonald 2. Lindsay 1. Salem PS: I look forward to giving some votes to forwards as the year progresses. Starting next week, would be nice.
  10. Even though Carlton lost to Richmond last week, I still expect Cripps to be awarded 6 votes in the Brownlow.
  11. 18 debutants in the first game of 1897 is probably the record, held by a few teams.
  12. Perhaps the problem might derive from the actions of their oleaginous agents.
  13. I'm not sure what you were expecting with respect to the crowd. We don't get capacity crowds at the MCG when we play Fremantle, either. (And a lot of taxpayer dollars have helped the MCG over the years.)
  14. Now I'm really confused. Are we saying Jefferson is past tense and now more relaxed?
  15. What, exactly, is Jim Stynes Game? Is it a fundraiser? A memorial to Jim? Or both? (And both would be worthwhile). I can't recall, but have we had a Jim Stynes game before? I've been tied up with other things for the last couple of weeks, so if there has been some publicity about it, it's passed me by.
  16. Slight diversion: Which other players have left us and subsequently returned after playing with another AFL (or VFL) club? Carl Ditterich is one I can think of. I recall Gary Hardeman left and then returned, but I don't think he was at another VFL team in between. Anyone else?
  17. Excellent suggestion. Our team would be so much better with two Max Gawns, two Olivers and two Petraccas.
  18. Have I missed a weather report that says Cyclone Alfred is heading to Gosch's Paddock? PS: Please stay safe anyone in Alfred's path.
  19. I feel like you're channeling Sir Les Patterson.
  20. A serious suggestion: The team should sing the club song after a win on the ground in front of the fans instead of in the changing room.
  21. The scoop? According to Ralph is that there is nothing to see here. So, no scoop. Edit: To be clear, I'm not having a go at mmwd6. I'm critical of the footy media for continually writing non-stories.
  22. Such disrespectful language.
  23. A somewhat ironic post given that four of your posts in this thread have no visible content. Anyone else having the same problem?
  24. It happens to me but only on Demonland's (ie, Andy's) posts and then only when he links to some other social media. I'm using Edge on Windows 11.
  25. That's also the problem with it. Emblems like that go in and out of fashion. What's "retro" one day might look dated the next.
