I thought the same thing about Richmond this year, even upto round 20 I didn’t think they were good enough, I think the key is not so much personal but injuries and having a settled side, a fit hogan gawn jones and viney for 22 games would mean we played finals this year that I have no doubt, no way Richmond win a flag if riewoldt, Martin, cotchin and rance missed as many games as our 4 best players did you could argue they might not make the 8

Exactly we basically gave up pick 4 for lever which is a fair trade, people just see the draft picks and can’t get there head around it and assume we got ripped off, win/win trade imo if we finished last next year that would sway it Adelaide’s way but that won’t happen

So to all those saying we paid too much, if we finished bottom 4 and had pick 4 would you trade that for lever? I know I would you know exactly what your going to get he is a very very good player and will only get better, some of the carry on over a few subjective draft selections is laughable we gave up the equivalent of pick 4 classic win/win trade

That’s the risk with getting 2018 1st rounder no one knows what it is, what if we absolutely got smashed with injuries and finished bottom 4, Adelaide would be laughing, so the steak knives are Adelaide hoping we do a Melbourne and royaly screw up next year

Depends if we have anything else in play might need to get it done as quick as we can, but if this is the only deal might aswell let them sweat

Yep good deal all round, but will still be people who only see the 2 1st round picks and say it’s too much just need to look at the bigger picture, and we are no longer rebuilding we don’t need many picks to take to the draft we need to fill holes for the now

Yep get it done dees can then use that pick on a mid if need be
