Interested to hear the panels thoughts on the Booing of Luke Jackson. I thought it was interesting that the first time he got the ball there was a mixture of Boos and clapping. I was not expecting the clapping and despite the fact that he abandoned us he is a Premiership Player.

Further to this; What can we take away from the first 9 games of the season considering who we've played and who we've lost to? The only Top 8 team we have beaten is the Western Bulldogs and that was in the first game of the season when the Bulldogs didn't have their act together. We lost to Brisbane currently 3rd and Essendon currently 10th when the Bombers were up and about. We've also beaten 11th, 13th, 16th, 17th & 18th. Obviously the real test comes in the next 5 to 6 weeks when we play 4th, 12th, 9th, 1st and 7th.

We were beaten in the clearances and smashed in the contested possessions. Yes the Suns are an up and coming team and Rowell and Anderson are high draft picks and are the next generation of elite midfielders. Is it worrying that they put on a clinic in front of our midfield stars?

Loving the question and answer format of the podcast this season. Kudos to all involved. I'm starting to get the same annoying jibes from workmates that like last year we simply haven't beaten anyone yet and have lost games to our contenders. Are you worried about anything you've seen from the side. Does our game stack up against other teams particularly those of Collingwood and Geelong who look like the sides to beat? Or will we not know until Kings Bday and our annual fun trip down the freeway to Kardinia Park.

We got our first (okay 3rd) but really 1st good look at the Gawn/Grundy combination under intense match conditions. How do you think it panned out?

Mockingly (probably unintentionally because I doubt he thought about how it would look) in a Dockers jumper. Could have posted any number of photos of him with the Premiership cup when he thanked the club with his one line. I thank him for his time but do not wish him well. He is now the enemy and whilst I will not boo him I do hope he gets roughed up a bit and that he earns every dollar he gets.

Absolutely we do however we need a bit of luck and manage injuries a little bit better. A tweak in the game plan so as not to be too predictable will go a long way to breaking the 1 year premiership drought.

Rumour has it he dropped that ball.

Blind Freddy could tell you we will not be trading Weid if the Grundy deal can't get done. The only way the Weid deal get done beforehand is if it is part of the Grundy trade or Collingwood gives us an undertaking that the pick we get for Weid will be acceptable as part of the trade for Grundy. However given the likely low pick I doubt that will be the case. If the Grundy deal is dead then Weid will be the backup ruck. God help Max Gawn body if that is the case.

We won't be trading Weid unless Grundy is secured.

Which 2s players (with the exception of JVR) do you think will have an immediate impact in the seniors next season? Who do you think will be a regular by the end of the year?

I thought clubs weren't allowed to court players under contract mid-season? In hindsight you can tell he was already in Freo from that point on. His heart wasn't in it. I know we were trying to win a flag and also get the most value for him on the trade table but it would have been nice if we could have let him rot out the year in the 2s.

Let talk about key stats. We won the disposal count, inside 50s, free kicks, hitouts, contested possessions, marks inside 50, contested marks. We got belted in the pressure department, pressure acts, tackles and hence turnovers and scores from turnovers. Is the latter the reason we couldn't capitalise on the former?

Kozzy's knee was heavily strapped this week and he appeared to be limping most of the match and didn't have the usual zip that he has. Is he injured? Thankfully we played him but should we be playing players that are clearly injured.

He’ll play for the Dees at some point this season.

What’s the quality like? Is looks on the thin side. Doesn’t look warm enough for a cold winters day.

I can’t see every man and his dog being able to line up for a photo with the cup. That will take hours and hours. Everyone will want one. This might be an unpopular opinion to the masses but those of us that have forked out for guaranteed Grand Final tickets should 100% be given this opportunity.

I have no problem with the mail that @Dr evil provided. It was the method by which that mail kept arriving. He was completely smug in his protestations that Smith would 100% be a Demon. He didn't endear himself with me and it seems many others on here with his assertions that ultimately proved 100% wrong. You cannot be half pregnant. He may have good mail and good contacts and I would not have minded if he got this one wrong, as things can definitely change very quickly at this time of the year, if he hadn't been so arrogant with his declarations.

Criticism of Dr Evil is rightly deserved. It is the silly season and whispers and inside information is certainly appreciated but this guy continually doubled down and categorically stated that Smith would 100% be a Demon. Things most certainly are fluid at this time of the year but It will be almost impossible to take anything Dr Evil says seriously ever again.

Honestly, we're in dreamland if we think Tmac & Preuss are worth a first rounder. It does not matter how many second, third or fourth round picks are thrown in. Sure GWS might have a need for a ruck and perhaps a forward or defender but neither would go for a second round pick on their own Preuss might get 3rd round. Neither player could barely get a game this year. If by some chance GWS fell for this we'd definitely be paying for Tom's salary.

I'm very worried about TMac and his salary biting us. Did we get ahead of ourselves after 2018 trying to lock in a dream team that not only stagnated but went backwards?

That is true but I doubt it will be TMac's choice if the Dees want to offload and trade him. My big concern in regards to offloading Tom is that that we might be stuck footing the bill for a good chunk of his salary. I would hate for this to bite us in terms of landing other trade targets.
