  1. Our disposal was absolutely amateur hour causing damaging turnovers. What made it all the worse was there were many occasions where a player with the ball showed absolutely zero awareness of their surroundings and was caught holding the ball. So disheartening and I just can't see us climbing out of this hole and it's only Round 2.
  2. I'm very worried and nervous buy this upcoming game.

Our match against a hungry and improved Kangaroos particularly early in the year scares the bejeezes out of me. If we lose this game and fall to 0 and 2 will it be panic stations?
  4. I'd love to hear the panel's thoughts on how we utilized Kozzy in this match. I understand that he’ll be unavailable for the first three rounds and that this game served as a dress rehearsal for Round 1, as well as for navigating those early weeks without him. That said, it’s still crucial to get game time and conditioning into him, given that he won’t play for five weeks and only managed a quarter yesterday. That brief stint, however, was enough to remind us just how impactful he is. His absence in the first three quarters starkly exposed our deficiencies in the small forward department as well as that impact player in the middle. We're going to feel his loss significantly in the opening rounds. Simply put, Chandler does not provide the same output. And if we do lose Kozzy at season’s end, which I fear is a real possibility, we’ll be up the proverbial creek.
  5. It's fantastic to see the poddie back, guys—I'm really excited about the upcoming season. When we traded for Harry Sharp, I must admit I felt a bit skeptical, since I'm always cautious about players who haven’t secured a spot in a top team. Considering we’ll be losing Nibbler’s contributions as a defensive half-forward, do you think Sharp can fill that role? I was especially impressed when he kicked four goals on the forward flank. How do you see his role evolving, given that he can also play on the wing?
  6. I don't think it's going away.
  7. I really don't mind the Thursday night matches from a neutral spectator at home perspective. I don't want the Dees to get too many Thursday nights as it's not great for our crowd numbers.
  8. Can any of the track watchers elaborate on what Petty was doing at training? Was he running laps? Participating in drills? Last year he had the preseason from hell. Would be great for him to get an entire preseason under his belt.

I'm not sure this rumour is done yet. Might be some movement in the next 24 hours.

Could Carlton try to use Pick 3 for Petracca? Would you take it?

Relieved that he signed but just to play devil's advocate; the letter commits to the Dees for 2025. Does not mention the 5 years at all. The club better get it's [censored] in order otherwise the Carlton's and Collingwood will be more prepared and bring more to the table next year.
  12. What a [censored] show of an interview. Surely she needs to resign. We are leaderless. The lot have to go to save our beloved club.
  13. Dees need to change their strategy and start targeting in contract opposition stars and throwing cash at them.
  14. Let's not bury the lede here; what are the panels thoughts on whole Christian Petracca situation?

Do any of these clubs have at least 2 generational talents potentially on the trade table after 2 straight sets finals exits and then missing out on the finals altogether?

In terms of personnel available is there anyone we can bring in at the moment or is it a case of moving deck chairs on the titanic?

You can also add the one where Tom Green was clearly in the 5 metre protected area when Petty marked on 50. Would have been a certain goal.
  18. I would love to blame the loss on our inaccuracy but the Lions missed some gettable shots and stuffed up some chances late in the game dropping marks and missing targets.
  19. Not suggesting that the result would have been any different at the MCG given our recent record against the Dockers there but do you think we should end our Northern Territory home game sell off? We have a terrible record there and after 12 games this season supporters have only had 4 home games to attend at the G and we will only play our 5th home game at the G in Round 15. ROUND 15 IS ONLY OUR 5TH HOME GAME AT THE MCG THIS SEASON!!!!
  20. Kudos to our magnificent Captain Max. He was just immense today. I must say that I was filled with trepidation when we heard pregame that Max was out on the MCG doing an emergency fitness test because of a tight calf. If he had any niggle he sure didn't play like he had any problems. He absolutely monstered the Saints. His 7th All Australian jacket is within his grasp. Honestly what would have happened if he didn't pass that fitness test. Fullarton was already replaced on the emergency list by Ben Brown. By all reports Brown was already playing at Casey while Max was being assessed at the G. TMac and Rooey or perhaps Petty in the ruck all day? We are in serious trouble if Max goes down.
  21. This might force us to abandon the failed Petty forward experiment.
  22. We'll be making a few changes this week I think. Lever with concussion will be a forced change. If Langdon's personal reasons is not too serious then he should be a walk up start. Rooey should be over his concussion so he will be back. What changes will we make this week?
  23. Great get. Love Chin. Looking forward to the interview.
  24. Anyone know why there aren't flights between Uluru and Alice Springs any more. I'm sure I took one about 6 or 7 years ago.
  25. We're really going to miss Kozzy but I'm loving the decision to blood the Kolt. That's 3 debutants in 6 games. Very unlike Goody with the exception perhaps of 2020 with Jacko, Kozzy and Rivers. Reckon Lachie Neale has a dodgy ankle. They'll play him and he'll get a heap of the ball but that ankle could buckle at any time.
