Mitch hasn't played much footy in 3 yrs, all the others you mention are currently playing and healthy (though Fletch may retire). Mitch is worth very little based upon where he is currently at and where he has come from. He's a big risk for any club to take on and the chances of him even playing senior footy again are slim IMO. Assuming he goes elsewhere, whatever we can get for him is a bonus.

I tend to think GWS will do a deal with StK to get pick 1. Cameron or Patton to StK, for example. That way they are assured of getting Petracca.

I can just picture the new poster graffiti when Mitch comes on board at Lexusland. Nothing is too low for them.

I have a feeling that Hugh Goddard will prove to be the surprise packet of the draft. Has a lot of talent. Put him in a team like Haw or Syd or Freo surrounded by leaders and club riches and he might thrive.

We lack leaders. Dangerfield is a leader. He'd be a ripper acquisition to the Dees. I'm sure Roos would love him. We need more senior leaders than we have now. However, I don't think Danger will come to us or leave Adelaide.

And the other two have much more probable up side than MC which makes them worth a 1st rounder. Unfortunately, no one will pay highly for MC, but they will for O'Rourke and Jacksh based upon current value, not ifs or 4 yr old form. But I agree that it's a considered gamble.

Lots of 'ifs' there JW. Jacksh and O'Rourke are worth 1st round picks based on their current VALUE, not FORM. IMO Mitch would get us a 3rd round trade pick at best based on his current value, and Lumumba would get Coll pick 25-30 as trade swap. More importantly, HL would add immediate impact into our backline, Mitch has added nothing to our club since we got him except a handful of good games and a great deal of false hope.

No it's not "easy". Danger may well want to stay and re-sign with the Crows. If we can convince him to come to the worst club in the last 10 yrs, I'll seriously expect to see a flock of pigs fly past my house. Yes, just about any outcome could happen, but Danger coming to the Dees is not one of them IMO.

Is Mitch over his injuries and ready to play AFL? Trades are not done on potential but on their current value. On that alone, a MC for HL swap would be a win for us IMO.
