Yes, but Shaw was a valuable member of Collingwood's flag in 2010. They had a bunch of dheads then. And Lake has lost the plot more than once or twice, maybe once or twice this year, for a total of 7 missed matched due to suspension. No mean feat. Robinson is an all round dh, but Lake is certainly a dh on the field. I'll agree to disagree and move on.

FWIW I read on a couple of sites (can't remember which ones) that next years draft has a bunch of good mids in the first round. Would that influence clubs to take KP players this year, as good KPs are generally rarer to find in the draft?

I'd say that Lake's on field temper losses, such as his Petrie choke, would be worse than anything Robinson has pulled. Of course, Lake has been a far better footballer. A club's ability to tolerate a dh will be directly related to his worth to the team.

Martin is streets ahead of Robinson in terms of talent and ability. This year has proved that. Not sure Roos was all that interested in Martin last year. I thought we ruled ourselves out pretty early when he shopped himself around. Happy to be proven wrong, as I cbf searching.

Robinson would never pass Roosy's no DH policy. No thanks. Just because he arguably would make our best 22 does not make him part of our future.
