Comes in black and white... Not a little bird..... Saints. Black and white and red, not a little bird. -

Interesting interview w.s He's certainly not a fan of a Bobby Murphy. -
I love kent. A lot.

She might have done that and also want a bit of strap. Don't spill the milk though.

I take it you know him personally? I couldn't care less about his tatts. As long as he adds to our list and the trade is reasonable. The rest is bullsht. Just me, I guess.

Jack Trengove re-injures his navicular (2014) - trade deal off

If my dad had cancer and went into remission (for whatever the term 'remission' is worth) I'd sure as he'll want to be close to him. -

3 and JT for Sloane and Lyon? -
Does that mean I won't need to stress about you putting your hand on my leg at the footy anymore. Phew! Thank Christ. BTW, I believe generous Jazzy O is going to get a cheap pair of $2 chemist glasses for your yr 9 student. Big of him. The real Jazzy O was renown for wearing all kinds of expensive and exotic bling and for being kind hearted (despite the odd run in with Biffen). Demonland's version is just miserable and ignorant.

Might kill some of the germs gathered from where you've been putting it in the past Biff. -

My heart agrees with you Bitty. My head says it should be done. Football is an emotional sport and industry, but the successful clubs tend to be pragmatic and realistic in who they keep and trade on. Trenners is a top bloke, loyal, friendly, leader.... but he has been very injury prone and hasn't hit his straps for several years. If 12 can be paired with a further trade including 2 or 3 then it may be the breakthrough we need to land our big fish. Maybe, or perhaps we will take it to the draft. I like Trenners, but I've not liked the fact he struggles to get on the park and I can't honestly see it improving. -
I think Mcrae for pick 3 + 23 would be closer to the mark. Excellent idea.

Except McCartney wasn't sack, he resigned. Gordon talked with his "lawyer's hat on", as he put it and said clearly that Griff is still contracted and that McCartney wasn't sacked, he resigned. Resigning also probably saved the Bullies a fair bit of money. #getfactsright -

The tail is wagging the dog over at Whitten Oval it appears. How does that effect our trading of 2 or 3? Will Griff stay? -
Think you mean 'trade period' Shakespeare.

I'd have taken Judd from WCE in a heart beat.

Interesting scenario. Yes I think that makes sense to trade for a bit of experience and quality KPP if we cannot for a suitable mid. The issue is getting someone worth giving up pick 3 to want to come to us. We'd have to throw a big contract at Dixon (as opposed to using 3 in the draft) which will have to slot into our cap. But I'd rather that then paying average players already on our list overinflated contracts, which is what we've been doing in the past. -
If McCartney goes, Griff may stay.
-
Strong talk on trade radio that WB have sacked or about to sack McCarthy. Interesting.
-
If we trade 3, leaving us 2, I wonder if Roos would pick Brayshaw over Petracca if both were available....

Dixon is injury prone, so yes, he is like Clark in that respect. While we do need a lot of high quality players, I was referring to the biggest need, which is high quality mids. I'd push hard for a midfielder trade with 3 rather than a KPP. -
You may be right there Ouch, but it would be reasonable to say that player managers think all clubs are viable if they can get a big commission or percentage from a $700-800k contract. They are interested in money, which we have in our cap space. To trade 2 or 3 we must do a deal that is attractive to the respective clubs as well as player/s, but we need high quality players wanting to come to MFC for it to happen. So far (and I hope this changes), we are not attracting any players worthy of pick 2/3.
-
Stable, yes, but we all know how quickly that can change On the rise... well, the second half of the year might indicate no. Just about anyone can play footy at Melbourne - Byrnes, Terlich, Bail and M Jones are testament to that. While I'd love us to land Danger, Sheil or the like, and gleefully I'd eat humble pie if we did, however I can't honestly see us as being attractive to very good players beyond money. I'd love for you to be correct, though Bub.

Reasoned and mature response Biff. Have you been attending BBOs classes of late?
