Interesting comments there UTAH. It appears many believe Schwab was a good business manager but got too involved in the Freo football department, even overseeing many trades and coach selection. Also, I had forgotten about the $140k loan we did to help him with real estate. Regardless of it being on commercial terms or not, personal loans are not what we are on about, particularly as we had just climbed out of a multi million dollar hole ourselves. Incredible conflict of interest.

If this is the case, I'm wondering why Tyson and maybe Dawes weren't rested to help them get over their injury niggles. Tyson particularly looks like he needs a week or two rest with that knee of his. Not that I'm a medico, so just a guess.

As you mention, a full AFL season is a very different sport to swimming 1 x week long competition per year. Not sure it's comparing apples with apples in that regard. Are you suggesting we not train during the year, rather do more recovery, or that our loads are not managed on a week to week or individual basis? How does a team taper for a 6 mth season? I think you'll find Tyson has had issues with his knee for most of this season, which might explain much of his poor form. Dawes and JKH have also had persistent niggles. Unfortunately we don't have the depth luxury of resting them easily.

Your point is wrong mandee. In 2015 being good does not make you able to play well as a KP if you aren't a suitable size. Size and ability are both paramount.

Maybe worth trying. I definitely can't see value in playing Spencil or Jamar against the doggies. Pedo takes a good mark and tries his guts out to impose upon marking contests. Watts has the speed and skills. Shame we can't combine the two into one!

If you think you have a good ruckman who has been on the list for 5 years but only coming good after 30 games, pay him more than his worth for his second contract. His contract amount will take him out of this new FA equation. Or maybe they tweak the proposal to not include ruckman.

We have no ruck that can regularly tap to advantage, so your suggestion is good. Would Pedo playing as fist ruck be an alternative?
