  1. Yeah, blend in with the white crowd, don't be proud of your heritage. I don't know for sure, but I reckon Indigenous players would be very happy to be represented by Goodes, and they are represented by him - he's the chairman of the AFLPA.
  2. If a guy played 300+ games for us, won 2 brownlows and a couple of premiership medallions I'd consider him a club great. Only a fool wouldn't.
  3. Hmmmmm.... Thanks Allan McAllistair.
  4. So I guess he should have shut up, bit his lip and not given his views about the reason he was chosen for Aust of the Year. I personally thought many of his Aust of the Year comments were spot on. If it's diplomatic to refrain from being honest and speaking your mind, then we need less diplomats.
  5. Pure hyperbole. If you heard his interview on the ground after the game you would have heard him say it was a tribute to the under 16 indigenous players who spent time with the Swans this week and taught them those steps. He clearly said it wasn't aimed at that particular section of the crowd. Or is that not exciting enough for you to believe?
  6. A core are racists, the rest sheep. Most of them are booing because of the booing publicity and they are just joining in with what people around them are doing. Sheep. However, I think the booing has clear racist undertones which has developed into a spectator trend at Swans games. Having said that, the media have a lot to answer to on the issue. Ch 7 tonight went into a commentator frenzy about Goodes and the booing. And it's going to increase.
  7. Then you should know that Goodes getting called a monkey is as bigoted as someone calling you a white "C" or a derogatory comment because of your sexuality. Very surprised you can't see the booing is based on his Aboriginality.
  8. Are you that ignorant that you do not know that the term monkey when used against a black person is a derogatory and racist remark? Have you been living in a bubble all your life Ethan?
  9. What are you doing on here at this time? Normally you're in a comatose, drunken stupor by 9pm. Run dry early tonight?
  10. Come on Song, that's just not true. So I guess calling Goodes a monkey or King Kong isn't racist? Regardless of what people think of the incident with the 13 yr old girl, the boos are definitely related to that. Or should he just suck it up and accept the racist insults, like generations of Indigenous footballers?
  11. You'll note my edit before your pathetic correction. Autocorrect is a bummer.
  12. You could start by having a shower sometime in the week leading up to said match. Maybe brushing your gold teeth more than once per year. Fresh change of clothes rather her than damp, putrid rags would also be handy. Biff and I spent most of the last game dry retching.
  13. If he's named Jack, does that that mean the full name is Jack Jack? Just askin' WJ.
  14. I'm a big Peadorsin fan. Love a guy who tries his guts out and clunks a few contested marks. Good on him. If he continues this form he's likely to get a contract extension.
  15. Of course you will. Nothing is more certain. Amazing that Trenners still has 2 months before he even starts to run. The guy must have an upper body like Arnie Schwartzeneger at his peak and the legs of Mr Punieverse.
  16. I take it 1987 was the peak of your youth Biff. Was a good time to be a young demon supporter. Optimism was high.
  17. Emotions aside, it will be how well the bone in his foot heals that will determine his list status. If it heals well and is strong enough to play AFL footy, we'll probably keep him. Should the bone die or not heal satifactorarily, I fear he will be delisted. No point keeping a guy on the list at all that cannot play anymore. His trade value this time around is zero, unfortunately. His character and leadership are great and can still be used in an off field role. But IMO it is simply about how well the foot heals that will determine his future.
  18. IMO it will be a very interesting trade/delist/draft period at the end of this season, more than any other under Roos. Goodwin may also have a greater say in decision making. There are a number of fringe players that may not continue (regardless of contract status: Bail, MJones, Terlich), Trenner's future will come into play, Garland and Howe stay or go?, Jamar and Cross are getting very close to the end, and then there maybe some trade smokies, such as Watts or Gawn. We all have differing opinions on this. I suspect we might see 8-9 go. But I would rather we trade for a gun mid (or two) rather than for draft picks. This draft is apparently weak. While Team Roos have got great value from a range of draft selections it's time we landed a big fish. At least one of Shiel, Treloar, Prestia would be an excellent result. Leuie as a FA ruck would be good too. This time round I'd be happy if we had very few draft picks left after trade period. It would mean we landed a gun mid.
  19. Hogan to kick 4 this week and 5 on queens bday. No pressure.
  20. Baptism of fire this week at Carlton for Johnny Barker, could get very ugly.
  21. Well Maple you certainly challenged yourself being seen at the football with BBO, although I did note you were there as his invalid carer, so at least you helped his missus out with respite.
  22. Don't post about your toileting habits mate!
  23. Mate, Jane put you back in your place big time. You seem to really come on here to either a) belittle vulnerable posters in order to make yourself feel good (eg, Toady) or b) sleaze onto women who find you obhorant (eg, Jane02 or that other young woman you scared off Land a while back). Have you no shame fella?!
