  1. I'm just thinking: what did Shaun Smith hope to achieve by going public with his concerns? Was he thinking it would increase attention for his son and get him more medical help? Was he indicating that his son is unhappy and other clubs might enquire? Did he think this might hurt the reputation of Misson? I understand his frustration, but I don't see what positives could come out of such a public spray. I wonder if this has more potential to damage the relationship between Shaun, Joel and the club than improve it.
  2. I pulled beers at nightclubs in the late 80s early 90s to put myself through uni. The things I saw AFL footballers consume the night before game day make May's few pints look like holy communion. In one instance, I saw a star forward write himself off, only to kick 4 goals about 12 hours later to win the game almost off his own boot. Lucky for him there was no peeing in a sample jar back then. The game is more professional now, higher expectations on conditioning and rehab, blah, blah. But I highly doubt this would've got traction had there not been a photo. All about optics. Only the club (and Saty) really know what issues May has and how his rehab is tracking. Dealt with, move on.
  3. Depends. What type of wine was it? 2 buck chuck or Grange?
  4. I'm MORE outraged than you.
  5. Won't someone think of the children!!!
  6. I disagree. Clearly you and I were watching different games. Apart from the one ruck clearance, I thought Keilty looked lost. I like his enthusiasm, but that's not what he was picked for. I too hope he gets another game this week, but Weid has been better this year, though that's not saying much. If Preuss is fit, I'd play him in his place
  7. Out of interest, who have they got from us? Hogan, Farmer and ?
  8. Anyone remember those dhead Collingwood supporters after a Queens birthday game who hit Nate Jones' dad in front of a young teenage Zac Jones? Apparently Zac refused to be interviewed by Collingwood recruiters in his draft year, instead telling them not pick him.
  9. It was unrealistic for Melksham to claim a set shot when he was next to the boundary and would've been kicking from 55m. That he pulled the kick is evidence of this. Claiming the set shot doesn't mean you automatically get 30 sec. Umpire probably got it right. I was more disappointed that Melksham's kick was pulled too short for Tmac or Max to have any chance. I understand that he was avoiding a behind, which creates the slingshot for a final Hawthorn attack.
  10. I've heard this story before somewhere. Are you pedalling fake news?
  11. So I'm not allowed to state his age? Righto. "Only" was your word, not mine, and I said 26.
  12. It's the basketball background. He's slam dunking it onto his foot
  13. Whilst I agree that Omac has not been in as good a form as his last half of 2018, it's worth remembering he has just turned 23 and is still developing both his game and body. People need to remember that guys his size often don't reach their peak until 26 or even later. I have Richmond supporting mates who hated Alex Rance for his first 4-5 years. Btw, I'm not saying Omac is equal to Rance. Omac has 62 game under his belt. The marker for AFL player development his usually around 100 games. I saw enough good things last year to tell me he's worth persevering with. He's had a few mares this year and is the type of player who looks dreadful when out of form. Apart from the last quarter yesterday he was ok, considering he's coming back from a spell and has also had concussion. He'll be better for the run, and the game against GCS will hopefully build his confidence further. Some posters think Omac was gifted games too early in his career and are calling for Petty to be selected. Careful what to wish for or we may do the same thing again. Clearly the FD see Omac as part of our future. I'm glad their memories aren't as short as ours
  14. Went no 3 in his draft. I don't know much about him Has he performed to anywhere near this ability at senior level? Injuries aside, has he kicked a bag or starred in a match?
  15. Stuie would be all over this thread!
  16. A pick. Not first round. And definitely not Harmes. You over analyse
  17. Thats nice. Won't happen. Move on.
  18. And only 2 wins outside the 8! Woohoo!!! ...too soon?
  19. It's a dumb rule, absolute rubbish rule. But technically both were correct.
  20. Something needs to be done about that ridiculous high ball drop. A good player will learn and adapt
  21. Preuss in for Keilty. That's it.
  22. You're on your own there mate. That's rubbish
