  1. Dazzle, you forgot the bit about Sydney getting the better brother
  2. Don't put words in my mouth. NO WHERE did I say he was fat or overweight. You made that up. If he was leaner without loss of strength it would clearly be an advantage. In recent years we've seen that from Gawn, Hogan and a bunch of others. Couple that with a bigger tank and he would be better suited to the midfield. It works. Stop being such an outraged drama queen and read what is actually written
  3. I have a source that says you are poor at covering up your past. Patton will not be a Demon. No surprises there.
  4. Agree, plus i fear the return on a trade would probably surprise most of us here, and not in a good way
  5. Not Patton. 3 knee recos. Not 1, not 2, but 3....
  6. Hi Rangey/ Matsuo, Oliver, Brayshaw, Harmes, Viney. Swallow will get more inside game time in 2020, Jones is only of value as an insider. A leaner, fitter Trac will play in the guts too. 7 potential inside mids. 0 potential outside mids ATM, at best maybe Baker. Langdon is B grader, pick 21 indicative of this Given Jones has just re-signed and cannot be traded, I'd say the player there of biggest trade value (apart from Oliver) is Gus or Viney. I've come around to that scenario rather than trading Trac.
  7. 20 for Langdon, 38 for Amon, future 2nd for Isaac Smith??? In: King, Langdon, Amon, Smith and 17 Out: 2, 20, 38, future 2nd Maybe swap of later picks too. Gives us a 1st rounder for this year and for 2020. Gil will be happy with that, complies with AFL rules. I'd shop Brayshaw or Viney around as well, a curve ball. If it got us a player such as Hill, it would improve our list tremendously. Can't see it eventuating though. Stranger things have happened in trade week!
  8. Maybe that's part of the deal. They get 1, 2 and 10. We get King.
  9. If he wanted out, sure. But he doesn't.
  10. Cant blame a bloke from hoping he joins us!
  11. Glad I didn't contribute with my hopes in this thread late last year ?
  12. If the reports of Trac being upset at not getting more midfield time are true, the challenge for him over summer is to drop a bit of weight (not at the expense of strength) and really build his tank. IMV he's at a critical point in his career where a real A grader would step up and fulfill his potential. If he wants to play more of a midfield role, its time to rise to the challenge!
  13. Hope I'm not the only one who would like us to get Ooze more for his ability and experience at Hawthorn under Clarko more than the fact he played for us. If it helps us get him over the line, great, but IMO once here it would be irrelevant.
  14. Geez, the 'new you' didn't last long, Steve
  15. Out: Brayshaw, pick 20 In: Langdon, Hill or Cerra Swap of later picks
  16. Perhaps even less so. Lewis was 29, Smith is about to turn 31
  17. @Bitter but optimistic has an ointment for that...
  18. Ok. I won't distract you from prep for spring carnival races
  19. The old 'no hurry to re-sign' comment... https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/no-time-frame-on-gold-coast-call-for-ben-king-20190901-p52mvi.html
  20. Can't we enquire? MFCSS getting the better of you Red?
  21. Mr Old, I'd say more because of the way the club handled it rather than the reality of their time being up. Interesting to note that Junior is no longer involved in footy - Old McDonald has a farm.
  22. You do realise it's a LW thread, not an AA thread? But if that's your fancy, go for it, break a leg!
