  1. If that happens people will stop watching full stop all this winging over a game and after all the only ones winging are the media who have an investment in ratings and sales and supporters who most of them have no clue about the rules all they can say is BALL at a game.
  2. Cornes is a [censored] full stop, the human headline wannabe.
  3. Well nothing is going to change so why bother getting upset.
  4. That's your opinion and that's ok I don't agree, it's umpire complaint you can read it on game day threads here 2 minutes in and it's the umpires fault, at the end of the day it's swings and roundabouts.
  5. Do you watch the game today it's nearly 36 players in one half of the ground it's congested.
  6. Of course media Muppets moan because they want ratings and sales mistakes are always going to be made big deal players lose more games than umpires, don't listen to Cornes he is just a gutter opinion person, all this bagging will end up with kids not taking it up as it does filter down below.
  7. So what solutions do you have then, umpires can only pay what the see most times when 20 players are around the ball, do you propose we stop the game and go to the video on every decision?

But the answer is don't reply it's that simple and don't read their posts, you having a go at people doesn't help.
  9. Personally I think they spooked themselves on this issue when Grundy came in Gawns form dropped so I believe they didn't know how to handle it, Max is a better around the ground ruckman and Grundy a better tap ruckman but I don't think they really gave it a chance to work.
  10. you think......
  11. Can never understand why people get their knickers in a knot when outside people the club comment on Melbourne after all that's what this forum does.

Jesus did you even look at it, you said Gus kicked on his left wrong, you lot are so one eyed is become a joke, as I have said so many times the initial act ok the end was not and should have been suspended, if he had continued with arms up no problem you guys are trying your dislike for someone to justify it.

Gus was running forward so he was moving closer to Maynard as I have repeatedly said if Maynard had kept his hands up and collided with Gus it would have not the same impact. Players are taught to protect their body and it becomes natural to them, if he really wanted to deliberately wanted to take him out he would not have been in the air around the same time as the ball hit the boot.

Gus kicked it on his right foot so that's wrong for a start, Maynard was just starting to jump as Gus kicked it I have tried to up load it but it says it's to big that would show it.

Jesus look at the video through two eyes not red and blue, i don't have a problem with his first action of smothering and yes i would have suspended him because he turned his body but that is what players have been shown for years as i said earlier if he had just collided with Gus with two hands up Gus would have been ok. Gus was only one concussion away from retiring it just happed to be that one.

I look at things in a different light and I see the Maynard not as a deliberate act to take Gus out and you are casting aspersions on someone's character without facts just emotion. As for your other point I have been saying the same thing about the midfield and forward line for 2 years and people said I am wrong now people see it. Our backline will be OK corrections need to be in the midfield and the forward line well that's been dysfunctional for 2 years but can be corrected with a good forward line coach and recruitment, but unless the skills and decision making of the players further up the ground improve any forward line will struggle with the way the ball comes in. Will Goodwin chance or stay the course we will soon see.

Well that's your opinion not mine at the end of the day it's not affecting my life or players lives.

Those side are not that flash, Port are hit and miss Doggies well depends what side turns up but yes maybe i am little to optimistic but deep down hopeful but whatever happens change will come next year.

Do you know if Gus has spoken to Maynard you seem to think so so don't assume on that point but if you want to go that analogy past players at Melbourne shouldn't talk to Grinter after what he did to wallace? I have explained my thoughts on Maynard incident and for the benefit of you I will say it again, yes the start of the act was legal but the contact was not and I will also say this when Maynard turned his body and all footballer's are taught to turn their body before contact to protect themselves like he did that is where he should have gotten suspended, if Maynard had continued with arms up and had contacted Gus the damage would have been limited, the same as Peter Street earlier nt the year if he had continued to spoil it would have only been a fifty metre penalty. For people to say Maynard deliberately did do that is so so stupid and limited in their thinking because emotion takes over critical thinking. I will also say and people should realise Gus was only one more concussion away from retirement whether this year or another time, Gus is a smart person and he will be OK.

Port, GWS, doggies, eagles, and north are winnable if we play right but the others no, but football is a funny game.
