I agree the umpires boss should come out and admit mistakes you only learn from them.

Well good point why don't commentary teams do that money I suppose.

The media do that anyway but allowing coaches or players to do that will only lead to further problems other codes don't allow it why should the AFL be different.

Clubs have to opportunity to approach the umpires during the week to sort these problems out so the question is do they do that if not then that's on them.

So you have never see supporters hurling abuse at them at a game.

So how are going to hold them accountable then drop them there's not enough of them to do that.

Agree but the AFL wanted to make the game quicker coaches now make it a pack mentality, slow the game down would be a start.

I just not a fan of people who like to abuse people who are out there doing a difficult job to their best of their ability and except for a couple have not offered one idea on how to eliminate wrong decisions. These same people only probably know one thing to say at the football and that's BALL. As for saying lower attendances that won't happen, if you want to fix the problem stop letting coaches have an input and as I said earlier 10 interchanges a quarter slow the game down would be a start.

Umpires pay it as they see it, and that will continue no matter how people complain about it.

Agree the stand rule is a joke players are not even brought back over the mark now, the ruck rule where two guys maul each other is a joke, umpires calling out who going up in the ruck is a joke, and I would have one more 25 metres kick instead of what we have now.

Sorry disagree about umpires doing a press conference they are not there to be attacked by the media, and paying them more won't solve the problem either, the afl can slow the game down by 10 interchanges a quarter foe a start.
