  1. He has a very strange shaped head it kind of flairs out at the back. _____________________________________________- Posts on Jee-long bigfooty game day page. Putting to one side the spelling error ('flairs' instead of 'flares') these posts are pretty funny. They're pretty savage on their team, and the coach. That guy Henry is a good player.
  2. The word "schadenfreude" springs to mind.
  3. For those who are undecided who to barrack against tonight, consider the following .... Hawkins Selwood Rohan Scott Surely it's not a difficult decision !!!
  4. Yes, they had to leave him B-hind .... (Sorry)
  5. FMD .... a report, interview, footage of the Big T@rd playing footy on Channel 7 news. I've had an accident way worse that this. As I'm sure many D/landers have. Unbelievable. What next ... Jane Bunn breaks a fingernail? Peter Mitchell has a paper cut?
  6. Agree with other posters. The club 'did the right thing' by getting him to 300 games where his form probably didn't justify it. Great clubman. I can see Goody giving him his premiership medallion (thinking positive!) like Beveridge/Murphy.
  7. Yes, but lightning doesn't strike twice ...
  8. I suspect no changes. In terms of defensive matchups, I think it will start with Petty on Daniher/May on McStay/Smith on Cameron/Rivers on McCarthy/Lever on ## [don't know their other forwards].
  9. I'm with "the more the merrier" crew. When kids are at the age of deciding which team to support, they are influenced by a number of factors. Family, friends, attractiveness of jumper, the success of the team/s, brand of football played, likeability of players, not wanting to the only Demons supporter in the class. How many new supporters would the Demons have attracted between 2011 - 2017 ? If the team can achieve sustained success, it will lead to more kids coming onboard. Bandwagon supporters are fine, and assist in creating a snowballing effect. Which will obviously help the club in the long term.
  10. Perhaps this describes the dark days ? The singer/guitarist/songwriter is a Demons supporter.
  11. I bumped into him at the G years ago. Charming gent.
  12. Hey SWYL, stop pinching my material! I posted this link about 10 hours ago!! On the subject of Viney, yes he played well, and yes he kicked a nice goal. But he missed a sitter at the start of the match ... set shot from 20 metres out. He is definitely best 22. Not convinced about Harmes. He ducked his head and dropped a marked I50 in the last qtr. Not a good look. Sparrow was OK. He'll keep his place. I wonder what the medical sub (Jordon) thought after the match. He didn't get a run. Mixed feelings during celebrations?
  13. Shame that Lingers' form dropped off after he was concussed. Would have been in the squad otherwise, and a chance for the final 22.
  14. https://thewest.com.au/sport/afl/geelongs-joel-selwood-under-fire-for-blatant-throw-in-loss-to-melbourne-c-3748015 Never understand why the media doesn't call out Selwood. (Well, other than the The West - see link.) He's a genuine s@#t bloke.
  15. King was 'gushing' about Scott's coaching. Montagna focused on Melbourne. He really rates us. King has in the past been very bullish about the Demons. Now seems to prefer the puddytatts though. [censored].
  16. The canned laughter should have been played when Cameron and Henderson collided ...either that or the Benny Hill music.
  17. We would have lost. The 'crowd noise affirmation' would have made the umpiring more biased and would have got the Puddytats over the line.
  18. McCluggage ... he freakin ducked !!!!
