Watching filth v gold coast. GC are terrible.
Umpires love the filth. 2 ridiculous free kicks to Brown. Ridiculous free kick to ginnivan. Clear 50 metre penalty to licotius (sp) ... against #7 daicos. Not paid.

I can't remember who ended up kicking the goal but Bedford's pick up at his feet when it came to him & he just picked it up & got it to a teammate was awesome
It was Bedford, to Tmac to BBB who kicked the goal.
To digress, I just watched Yze's presser. He is very intelligent and articulate. I doubt that we'll have him for long ... senior coach in waiting.

It's hard to imagine Luke wanting to go to West Coast. They are a rabble.
And Freo already has an A grade ruckman.
Mark my words* ... he will sign up to the Dees for a 2 year extension. I may have already posted this prediction ..
*Soz, should have issued a jerky expression alert

Missed opportunity to give Oskar Baker a game.
I reckon we will struggle.
He's had plenty of chances.

Interesting that out of all the 5 players not one is one of our depth/VFL regulars.
#conspiracy
True, but none of our uninjured A graders - May/Lever/Gawn/Langdon/Oliver/Petracca ...

5 is more than enough ... NO MORE .... please !!!

Who plays on Bruest and Gunston?
Bruest, perhaps Hunt or Smith or Rivers? Needs to be a 'lock down' defender.
Gunston, perhaps May or Smith? Again, needs to be a 'lock down' defender.

What could possibly go wrong?

No Hibbo either as an emergency.

Yes, I thought he was a pretty obvious medical sub.

I've heard that Spargo and Bedford are also out.
BTW it's RATs or RA tests. It's not Rapid Antigen Test test !!
On 7 News, no mention of these 2, only Petty. Please .... NO MORE !!!!

Lever can marshal Tomlinson, Petty & Smith. Mitch Brown can take over Fritta's role for a week or 2. Daw for Gawn? Only swapping a G for a D and losing an N. Sparrow was our Petracca backup. Clarry - I don't see any like for like player to come in there. We'd require a re-jig of the midfield for the weeks he's not there. Do we throw Brayshaw back in there?
I presume we're all going through the exercise of working out who's most dispensible?? Or more particularly who isn't.
Gawn/Oliver/Petracca/Langdon/Brayshaw are clearly irreplaceable. Fritta is borderline.
I know WCW wont be happy with this, but I think that May is. Tomlinson would come in and Lever/Petty/Tomlinson and several of Hunt/Bowey/Rivers/Hibbert/Brayshaw/Smith (hmm?) is still a pretty good backline. Any of Hunt/Bowey (although preferably not)/Rivers are replaceable by Hibbert/Smith.
I think pretty much everyone else is replaceable.
It's a shame that Oskar Baker wasn't able to perform better when he had his chance.
I'm sure everyone is hanging out for further news.

Stand by for more covid changes I'm thinking!
I hope you're wrong, but I'm fearful you may be correct. And I think it's more than MFCSS.
My thoughts:
- Lever back is good ... Smith out
- Apparently doubts about Viney ... fingers crossed
- Daw won't get a game unless both Max & Jacko are out
- It's a no from me to Melksham ... he simply doesn't buy into defence first philosophy
- I'm not a fan of Bedford's, but I guess he comes in for Kozzy
- TMac in for Jacko, but Weid to give Max a chop out in the ruck and TMac forward

You know your team is good when another team’s boast is “we drew with them last year!”
Demons supporters during the Neeld era ... "we only lost to ## by 5 goals last time" !!

I'm sorry for Grundy. He seems a reasonable type of guy.

What was it? I'm not suggesting they were incorrect, but it felt like we had a lot go our way, especially during an important stretch in the game.

And if the club listened to fans, Neal Bullen and Spargo would be delisted and not premiership players
The Club shopped ANB round at the end of 2020 season along with TMac. However there was no interest in either player from other clubs. So both stayed ... and the rest is history!

I reckon Smith stays in. He was in the team with May Lever Petty in the final against the Lions. Got injured and was replaced by Hibberd. Smith is not a depth player, he plays most of the time when fit
he is so versatile that you can have him in with 3 talls. His spoiling and 1:1 defending has become very good. Great in the air with an amazing reach.
lever in for Hunt/Rivers.
Are you talking about the final when he got his pants pulled down by Cameron?
If so, not a great point of reference.

Agree LH. No upside to taking that mark, only potential downside ... drop the mark, or not take a one touch mark then it has cost a goal. No Hawks player near, and the ball was heading through the goals at head height. There was a reaction of WTF in the crowd around me when it happened.
Not team first !!
