Just another filler article. Nothing new.

Great to hear. Keep fighting Jimmy!

Bartram, Garland, Macdonald Grimes, Rivers, Davey Scully, Sylvia, Trengove Watts, Green, Petterd Maric, Jurrah, Jetta Foll: Jamar, Dunn (tagging Goodes), Moloney I: Jones, Bennell, Martin Sub: Bail If Goodes is in the centre, I put Dunn on him. If he pushes up into the forward line, Grimes should take him while Dunn would head forward and switch places with Jetta.
-
Jurrah, Scully, Trengove, Tapscott, Watts. Possibly Gawn too. Would love to see him play soon.
-
Does anyone know if there's any authenticity to the comment that Sylvia has a broken hand? Doubt it's true as I think the club would have said something, but I would like to hear some confirmation that he's fine.
-
Doubt he will be seeing much playing time. The only way he will make the team will be as a Sub. Even then, I doubt he'll make it.
-
I think Buddy as number 1 is a bit much. As has been said it's a bit stiff that Jamar didn't make it when Jolly and Mumford did. Good to see 2 more Dees in there as Davey was the only one last year. Out of curiousity, who do people in here rate as #1? I'd take Pendlebury
-
I agree. As great as it would be to see Jurrah win the Coleman, I would be more happy to see him snag 3 in a game and two other players get 3 each than to see him have a 9 goal haul. In my opinion it is better to have multiple options going for goal. That being said, if he scores three goals a game while playing all 22 matches he would reach 66 goals. 66 goals MAY be enough to win the medal, but I'd expect more from the likes of Hall, Buddy and J. Riewoldt.

Many games are streamed on justin.tv for free. It's hit and miss with the quality though.

Best and Fairest '11 (PICK TOP THREE)
Good Times Grimes replied to Curry & Beer's topic in Melbourne Demons
This is a pretty difficult one to pick... I want to have Green in there, but I think, barring injury, all these players should be higher than him: Grimes Davey Sylvia -
Don't know if it will come out when they do the special on the Dees or not. That should be some time this week, but I can't find the schedule of which teams they are doing when anywhere...
-
Sounds like it all fell apart when Bate went in...any idea who he subbed in for?
-
I'm just glad we got through the NAB Cup/Challenge without any major injuries. Can't wait for round 1---when it actually counts! Go Dees!
-
All the best to Sean and his family. An all-time great Demon.

Has there been any word from Casey regarding their views on his latest dramas?
-
Thank you. KPPs don't just evolve over night. They take time. It is really annoying when people say we are being too patient with him. He's only 19. Can anybody name a player who dominated the competition when they were 19? Watts will come good. He just needs to grow into his body.
-
From what I've seen and heard of the rookies, I think Evans would be the stand out. That being said, I haven't seen or heard much about Lawrence.
-
Watts will come good. It has been stressed time and time again that he will take time to develop, and Schwab still says he's about 2-4 years away from being able to consistently dominate games (can't remember when he said this, think it might have been on twitter). Regardless, I think he will be a star of the competition, and he just needs to continue to get games so he can continue his upward trajectory. I'm sick of reading people bagging Watts when the coaching staff continue to say he isn't close to his best. He's only 19 years old, fcs.

Squad for Hawks @ Launceston 11/3/11
Good Times Grimes replied to PaulRB's topic in Melbourne Demons
Can't wait for Beamer to lay out Bruce. -
Bartram Frawley Macdonald Grimes Garland Davey Scully Trengove Jones Petterd Green Dunn Jurrah Watts Maric F: Jamar, Moloney, Sylvia I: Bail, Bennell, Rivers Sub: Martin I like the idea of having Davey and Grimes both as HBF as it provides some run, as well as some very good kicking. I think this backline could be one of the strongest in the competition, especially in terms of rebounding. Maric is in based solely on his preseason form. If he cannot maintain the form throughout the season I would replace him with Wonnaeamirri or Jetta. Martin is the sub based purely on his versatility.

He's probably just lost track. I doubt he knows of the top of his head exactly how long each injured player is predicted to be out. And I doubt he updates that mental list weekly. I wouldn't be worried about at all. He'll be right soon enough.
-
Hopefully it is just a groin strain. Jordie is a key part of our midfield, and in my opinion he is very important for our finals aspirations.
-
Don't like the sounds of Campbell's injury at all. I wouldn't be surprised if he never played a game for us. Good that Frawley is progressing; hopefully he'll be back for round 2 or 3. Anyone have any info on the rumour of McKenzie having Osteitis Pubis?
-
None of our forwards that are playing for Casey are going to be able to outplay Fev this year. He has a matured body and he is a proven gun the AFL level. At the VFL level I can't see any reason that would prevent him from tearing it up. That isn't a good thing for our young players as their game time will suffer as a result.
-
I can see positives and negatives to the whole situation. Could be helpful in teaching some of the younger kids; although, it is not known whether he CAN teach. I don't like the fact that he will be taking game time away from the likes of Cook and Howe. I'm not too worried about his influence over young 'impressionable' players since he is on his last chance at professional footy (and he knows this), and I think he will be determined to stay clean and focused in order to make a return to the AFL next year.
