He is in trouble - how many get referred straight to the tribunal and "he cannot accept an early plea on this matter."
-
If he doesn't kill himself with his suicidal attack on the ball before that time.

It appears that Roos is not so much looking at Stats and more at what your role is and how you have played it. Its looks like he is prepared to forgive a quiet game if you doing what he expects of you and I think we are reaping the benefits. I thought Pederson was just ok the first couple of weeks or so but Roos said he was "Happy with what we have asked him to do". His last three weeks have been very good - Pederson has benefitted from being given an extended run. Matt Jones I thought was good but not a prolific but hard to see Roos dropping him after one quieter game.

okay...I fess up .. I missed the syrupy sarcasm...

I was at Groovin the Moo and I knew the outcome too but watched the replay when I got home and stupidly felt ill in the last 10 minutes with nervousness - what if the digital universe got it wrong ?????
-
whilst I am venting - how often in all games do you see the ball dragged in - and then the huge pack develops and the umpire is blindsided - you can see the ball is now no longer with the player who dragged it in but the umpire guesses and says - "you dragged it in and it didn't come out". But umpire - the player who dragged it in no longer has the ball ??? How getting the ball OUT is out ??? Also the "in the back" rule goes straight out the window once you drag it in. You can do a Jimmy Snuka superfly splash off the top rope onto your opponent's back if he drags it in and not get pinged.

Note to self - when the girlfriends son says " we should go into the mosh for Parkway Drive - it will be fun", slap myself hard 3 times and say " you are 55, get a hold of yourself !" ( sore and sorry)

Because winning or losing and poor umpiring are two entirely different issues. I don't think we particularly hard done by compared to Adelaide but I do think the umpiring was truly horrible. Two things that really got up my nose. Play on from a mark should be called if you move off your line or you have had used your allotted time - not after one second just because the ball has been chipped 20 metres sideways. Not making a genuine attempt - I understand if you drag the ball in and dont make an attempt to get it out, although I also hate this rule because usually you have 18 opposition players sitting on your back and couldn't get the ball out with 20 tons of dynamite. BUT - the new interpretation when you get collared with no prior opportunity and have half the opposition team sitting on you and get pinged for not making a genuine attempt makes my blood boil ( Jack Viney free against for example)

I don't think he should miss games but with the MRP I have ceased to be amazed by anything they do.
-
I know its semantics but I have looked at Viney's attack on that contest and I don't think his sole intention was to bump. It happened so quickly it looks to me like he was going flat out to the contest ( does he know any other way ?) and saw bodies coming and braced himself for contact rather than making a bump his primary mission.

Usually agree with you ( and I think Riley could be something from the bits I have seen of him) but geez ..Cross ? He did make a couple of foot errors but love his hardness and his willingness to go as hard at the 120 minute mark as he does at the 1 minute mark.

I think does very good and very bad. Saturday he had minimal bads. I am critical of his disposal. Clean that up and he looks great.
-
Two comments Jack watts - he will have good games and he will have bad games but as long as he brings that kind of work ethic every week I'll be happy. JKH - he is just so clean when he goes near the ball. Rarely if ever fumbles - first time pick ups at full tilt. We got a real gem with him. I still maintain he does not exceptional speed. He does have exceptional moves.

Im with you. All these jokes seriously want to make me gag.

Being Jewish and having eaten both dog and pig I am going to burn in hell. Good thing is my mob don't believe in hell. ( good thing I don't believe in anything)

more to your point - it is a little worse than that. Even if his sole aim was to stop Ablett, the minute one of our mids got the ball, you want the other mids to break and try to make space and go offensive. Jordie doesn't do that. The likes of Ablett know that and don't fear that he will hurt them the other way. ( like Jones did to Murphy). You need the likes of Ablett to think about going defensive on McKenzie when we have the ball. Thats what Jordie needs to bring to his game.

neither pig or dog are kosher - so double not kosher

ooops - typo - facts dont back him up - not you !

people have debated with you but do you feel you have been bagged out ?
-
You will find that the people who get bagged out (constantly) are posters whose opinions have little substance or thought behind them. I do not always agree with the likes of RPFC, Hardtack, Daisycutter or Old Dee to name but four but you rarely find them giving opinions without any thought put behind them. I actually disagree with quite a lot of Machsy's posts but he backs up his opinions with examples of what he considers gives weight to his opinions. I try not to but I cannot help but poke fun at opinions such as "any other club would have dropped Watts" or " the fitness team should be sack" - these are casting opinions with no weight and no possible way of measuring or even debating. BTW - I think that Watts would be a 100 goal a season goalkicker if he was at Hawthorn. ( just for differentiation purposes - Watts should be dropped ? No problem debating that opinion. Any other team would have dropped Watts and you know it - wtf ?)
-
I think Saty asked him at training what he need to do - and the answer was - be more of a link player and kick goals. He can tag but needs more involvement - and I suspect that means "clean" involvement. Jordies problem is that he is not a two way runner. He has his good days and bad days defensively shutting down players but he doesn't spread and find easy uncontested ball when we are in possession.
-
Now you not only know what other posters think but also what other clubs would have done. You have been officially promoted from club doctor to club nostradamus.
-
Positional changes ? Surely you don't look at how the positions of players in any teams are selected in and read anything to that at all ?
-
Bum is officially bitten ?
