  1. No, the Essendon stuff came out Feb 5 - our dealings were prior to that.
  2. There would seem to be two major differences between us and the Bombers. (1) MFC was done under the supervision of the MFC doctor (there were also references to Neil Craig and "Dave", which must surely be Misson). (2) None of our substances are or were on the banned list, at least according to the ABC Report. (We don't know yet whether the Bombers took banned substances). What does look shifty is the MFC statement at the time of the Bombers' expose that players had no direct contact with Dank. That may be so (someone else may have given the injections) but the club was clearly using weasel words in issuing that statement. Presumably the club decided that with the tanking fiasco still hanging over their heads, they couldn't afford to have more bad press on the eve of the new season. Interesting footnote that the last club contact with Dank was on the day of the Essendon presser.. As for the source of this info, it's clearly Dank, and I agree with the earlier poster who said he's obviously decided that if he's going down, he'll try and take down as many as he can with him.
  3. Texts between MFC doctor Dan Bates and Dank apparently, with Bates asking when players will be injected.
  4. Reported on ABC TV just now. ABC 7.30 Report has texts between Dank and MFC about injections. Tune in to 7.30 Report tonight for more
  5. Would you consider a trade for an "Air Jurrah" t-shirt ?
  6. Matty Lloyd said last night that once a team gets a run-on with three goals in a row, a team should go into shutdown mode. I'm not usually a fan of Lloyd's, but this seems to be a pretty smart thing. Stem the bleeding, re-group, and re-load.
  7. Footy Classified did a pretty good job of it last night. He's averaging 15 possessions a game, one-third of which are clangers (2nd or 3rd highest total in league), and has given away the 2nd or 3rd highest number of free kicks in the league. So he's barely doing anything, and what he does do is generally to the detriment of his team.
  8. So am I, although interestingly, Trengove says in this article that fitness wasn't the issue in Saturday's second-half fade-out. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2013-04-14/not-a-fitness-issue-trengove
  9. So has anyone actually confirmed that this so-called incident even happened? Would have been on the news by now if there was any truth to it.
  10. Loved this rocket of a pass from Viney. Seen this kind of delivery a few times from Jack already this year.
  11. NB: No he didn't. Apart from being ineligible, he was 16 votes short.. needed almost twice as many votes as he got.
  12. Agree with the OP - looks a shadow of his former self
  13. Neeld was just on 3AW and said unless someone breaks down in warm-up we will line up as selected
  14. This thread deserves a bump.. C'mon folks, the captain has re-signed for another three years in the midst of the club's darkest hour. His co-captain did a similar thing in 2011. With the regular press speculation about how our better players are desperate to leave the club / in the sights of rival clubs, it speaks volumes that our two captains believe the future is bright for the MFC.
  15. It seemed you were, but Florida's going to a recount and it now looks like George W. might get up..
  16. Love it how he "pushed to get it done this week". Talk about leading by example..
  17. " Get your f#$%ing sh%t together ! "
  18. Of the 27,697 banana references on this thread, this definitely takes the cake. well played sir
  19. Great idea and looks pretty cool, I had a pretty good time playing the kicking game and I'm 37 y.o .. My niece and nephew will love this! Nice on MFC
  20. You must have missed the articles about the school visits the players do in the area.. if that's not engaging the potential members of tomorrow then I don't know what is ...
  21. Freeman joined the MFC board in the last couple of weeks, was a small item in the little paper to announce it.
  22. Judging by the comments of his brother, I'd be surprised if Greg Healy is in the running - already has his hands full as a senior executive at Quicksilver. What about former MFC board member and television boss Ian Johnson? There may be some antipathy towards him for backing the merger, but he certainly has runs on the board in a cut-throat industry.
  23. plus a tombstone with 9/4/2013 ..
  24. Given his penchant for all things past, I'm guessing it's the 1926 premiership team.
  25. Surely can't be sackings after McLardy's assurances ...
