Pantaloons, dont believe everything that comes from management companies they tell you what suites their client and that is not always the truth. The AFL has allowed a loophole for players to sign with GWS, but players and managers are not allowed to reveal who until the end of the particular players season. Hence managers are forced to tell lies or miss truths. To say Scully will be dudded if he has signed with GWS already is just crazy. If he has signed for the reported $6mil over six years there is no way anybody could think Scully has been robbed and if they have offered him that and he has signed good luck Tom. GWS only has money to offer Tom or anybody is not quite right in my opinion, with the money on offer players will be able to find very nice pads to live in and they will be near one of the best city's in the world ( not as good as Melbourne ) but a bloody nice place to live. GWS have the potential to be a very good side also and for somebody of Tom's age he has time on his side to develop with GWS. Just my opinion

I can see your point but I still wouldn't do it. While we clearly need a big key forward, I think if fully fit our forward line has by far more skill and talent than our backline. And while are backline was good this year it is still fragile Bruce, Garland, Macdonald, Rivers, Warnock and Bartram are all prone to turning the ball over and adding more pressure. Hence we need to leave the best defender in our backline.

I think taking an All Australian out of our backline would severly weaken it. Particularly one who provides most of our drive and rebound out of it.

I think players like Maric, Jetta, Wonaeamirri, Martin and Bennell are all going to need good years to avoid being delisted or traded.

I know its a long way off but I think Tim Harrington is going to earn his money next year. In my opinion we have very few automatic delistings. Cam Bruce will be one if he signs on for one more year maybe Macdonald. Outside of these two players its going to be out of young players with potential, what do others think ?
