I much prefer to hear complaints about players going too hard than not going at all
-
Couldn't have picked a better player to knock down tonight. Fasolo is a [censored].
-
He's been plagued with injuries and has only now played 2 good games in a row for Casey - the first time i can recall this happening since we drafted him. No, we aren't being too precious. Play him when he is ready... i want to beat GWS.
-
Just cos he's contracted, doesn't mean he'll play. Could end up being overtaken by Gawn in 2013/2014
-
Kinda would've been nice if Casey didn't have a bye. Tapscott could be suspended. GWS aren't easy beats and we need our strongest team.
-
27. What if he we beat Collingwood? Still a walk up then?
-
Hurley had 4 tackles tonight, his highest count for the year. Prior to this game he had totalled FOUR TACKLES FOR THE WHOLE SEASON!!
-
Freo were offering him 1 mil a year and its been reported that they upped that offer. If he leaves Collingwood it is for money. There is no way in hell i want us paying that money for Cloke. Knowing my membership money would be paying for that would make me cry.

I hope they dont rush Cook. I mean, if they're 100% sure he's ready and isn't gonna injure himself nor be embarrassed by the bigger KPDs in the AFL then i'm all for it. But at the same time, if he still hasn't played a game by seasons end but is still kicking 2-4 goals a week in the VFL then i'll be happy. If he and Gysberts can both have their first full healthy preseasons then i'll be expecting big things from both in 2013.

I have a feeling that 'cookie monster' is gonna grow some serious legs. Awesome nickname, great for banners etc.
-
3 goals to Cook two weeks in a row now... and still only half way through this game?
-
Ablett, Selwood, Franklin
-
Isn't the rule also a max of 12 AFL listed players in the senior side?
-
GYSBERTSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
-
Gysberts and Strauss are best 22 for me.
-
Gysberts and Strauss chances for GWS - obviously depending on how we go against the Pies next week (in terms of injuries & changes). Haven't really had many soft tissue injuries from memory, mostly unavoidable ones (eg. the ankles).
-
These things happen in games. We won. Thats all that matters.

Most fist-pump-worthy highlight from last night

Garlands goal in the square -
He and Blease have both begun to learn when its appropriate to use their pace, and conversely when to take the safe option. Nicho definitely has a future.
-
Obviously haven't seen Davis or Sheahan at AFL level yet, but with those two and McDonald, it looks like we're getting some pretty good value from late-pick and rookie talls.
-
Still young. Time is on his side. Max Bailey still looks like he can carve out a career.
-
Yes, its the official team. Couch hasn't played for 3 weeks now. Bit hard to put him in for his first game after that. MacDonald as usual is meh. Happy with both outs though - and only having 2 is good as we WERE competitive for a decent amount of time last week... Sylvia, time to shine please mate.

Most players wouldnt take a pay rise to go from from a premiership contender a bottom of the table team

Garry Lyon's six-month rescue mission over
rhaz replied to Brayshaws' Helmet's topic in Melbourne Demons
were you saying this when Richmond were 0/9 in 2010? hmm? -
I dont get it. You list ALL the players we have recruited and highlighted those who are gone. Yet you dont do the same for the Hawks? Thorp (2 games) and Dowler (16) - both taken with PICK 6 in the 2005/06 drafts - they're gone. Ellis, PICK 3, cant get a game in their senior side and has always been flaky. Brown, Muston, Tuck, Renouf, Dawson, Jarryd Morton - all are gone (plus a bunch of others i've never heard of). Just thought if you were gonna take shots at our club like everyone else you should at least do it right.
